Every Third 21:9 Monitor Sold Made by LG

According to International Data Corporation (IDC), LG Electronics’ (LG) IPS 21:9 UltraWide monitor range is currently the industry leader, having secured 63 percent share of the global market for 21:9 aspect ratio monitors in the first quarter of 2014. This doubles the company’s market share since the last quarter of 2012. Over the past year, the 21:9 aspect ratio monitor segment has grown nearly sevenfold, with LG’s lineup accounting for the majority of all units sold. According to the IDC Worldwide Quarterly PC Monitor Tracker, LG has been the global leader in 21:9 aspect ratio monitor sales for the past five fiscal quarters.

Intertek recently awarded its prestigious Quality & Performance Mark (QPM) to the 34UM95. Producing vibrant, lifelike colors, the cinematically proportioned monitor provides an immersive experience when watching movies and playing widescreen-format games. LG’s 29EA73 model IPS 21:9 UltraWide monitor also bears Intertek’s QPM. In winning the Plus X Award, one of Europe’s most prestigious prizes for innovation in technology, the judges praised the display’s innovative productivity enhancing features such as Thunderbolt™ 2, 4-Screen Split and Dual-Link Up, as well as its stylish design and strong build.
