Causes and Symptoms

Floor standing product

  • An error code occurs in the product. [No display]
  • A message saying [Smart installation test run is necessary] is displayed on the product.
  • The louver opens and then closes after a while, or it does not work.
Trial run of LED type is not performed. There is no status display window and trial run of LCD type is not performed. Smart Install trial run must be performed. phrase display screen

Wall mounted, combined [master bedroom] wall mounted products

  • An error code occurs in the product [No display]
  • 3 LEDs blink continuously at the same time.
  • The louver opens and then closes after a while, or it does not work.
LED-type test run non-execution status NO display screen and LED lamp-type power supply, outdoor unit, and reserved flashing display screen

No display, LEDs blinking simultaneously, no product operation with [Smart installation] display, product turns off immediately - These occur because test run has not worked normally after product installation.

What is a test run?

This is the function where the product checks the product’s condition while operating by itself.
Products in which test run was not performed do not operate normally.
Note
In cases of 3 in 1 / 2-in-1 products, test runs can be executed only in floor standing products.

Dual model: press the Run/Stop button and the temperature-down button simultaneously for 3 seconds, Tower model: press the power button and the temperature-down button simultaneously for 3 seconds

1. Press and hold the [Start/Stop] button and the [Temp Down] button on the main body of the floor standing product at the same time for 3 seconds.

2. When you take your hand off the buttons after you hear a ringing sound once from the product, the test run will start.

3. During test run, [Lo] will be displayed for approximately 3 minutes and the required test run progress [1-99] will be displayed for approximately 4 minutes.
Right after that, [EN] is displayed and selective operation is automatically executed for about 10 minutes.
Wait until the test run is completed.

It takes approximately 0 to 3 minutes [required operation].

➔ Test run LCD-type products

Dual Model: Press the Run/Stop button and the Temperature Down button simultaneously for 3 seconds

1. Press and hold the [Start/Stop] button and the [Temp Down] button on the main body of the floor standing product at the same time for 3 seconds.

2. When you take your hand off the buttons after you hear a ringing sound once from the product, the test run will start.

3. During test run, the required test run progress is displayed for approximately 7 minutes.
Right after that, the selective operation is automatically executed for about 10 minutes.
Wait until the test run is completed.

It takes approximately 7 minutes [required operation].

The Smart Install electrical component is initializing. Wait without operating the product until it is complete. Display screen, smart installation progress, smart installation completion message display screen

It takes approximately 10 minutes [selective operation].

The smart installation prerequisites have been completed. Check the refrigerant charge level. phrase display screen
Warning!

Do not press the forced operation switch or a remote control button while test run.
The product does not operate normally if it is terminated before completing the required operation.
If you press the button, the test run may be stopped before completion.

A check code such as CH 05, 38, 53, 66, 90 or 91 is displayed on the display.

These check codes require a product check by an installation technician for such issues as power cord misconnection and refrigerant condition checking in the product installation process.
It is recommended that you check the product status after having an installation technician check the installation status first.
