What People Are Saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More than enough for my house. This portable A/C kept my living room cold during the day and at night we rolled it into my bedroom. It quickly brought the temp down, doesn't rattle, is very easy to start using, and looks handsome. Oveall a great value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I can now sleep comfortably! My room tends to stay very hotel and I was just looking for something to make it more comfortable but with this portable AC unit my room has pretty much become an icebox! Which I LOVE! I set up the unit by myself, which I would say took me about 1.5 hours. One of my favorite features is that it doesn’t have to be drained, unless you are using the de-humidify option. The unit looks great in my room, it’s sleek and the darker color matches the rest of my room. The only down fall is the hose is white so it does stick out against my dark walls. The noise level is pretty much the same as a standard fan so it doesn’t bother me. Overall this unit is a great investment!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great AC alternative I purchased a different indoor AC unit model several years ago, so far my LG has performed wonderful. Perfect for my situation (My upstairs AC crashed last summer. I needed something to keep us cool while a new AC system was being installed). Perfect for a master bedroom. Only negative, you almost have to be in front of the unit for the remote to work.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Compact and Quiet This is a good unit for a small room. It is easy to clean the filter. The unit is quiet compared to the last LG I bought 4 yrs ago. I would recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Newly purchased It's a good looking, quiet little unit. Takes up very little space and rolls around easily. The steady stream of cold air should be enough to reduce the temps in my bedroom by 20 degrees, while producing very little noise. I did speak with an acquaintance that said she was able to cool the entire top level of her home with this same unit. Impressive!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job We purchased this unit during the summer for use on the hottest days, running it for several hours in our bedroom before we go to bed. Since we have casement windows, I created an insert, which was pretty easy. The duct is very flexible - more so than the duct from at least one other competitor. It also moves around easily. The auto evaporator works extremely well - we never had to empty the collection tank. I also think the moving vents help distribute the cool air around the room. Our space is probably a bit big for this unit but we've been pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked perfectly I bought this AC unit to help my home unit cool the 2 upstairs room. My house was built in 1938. It's small 2 bedroom. The venting isn't that good upstairs. This cool the rooms perfectly.

The features include a "Water full indicator." Doesn't the unit simply shut off when the reservoir gets full, and then we have to drain it via a built-in drain hose? Or do we have to remove a box full of water? Thank you.

Asked by: Public
We appreciate your interest in this air conditioner. When the unit gets full, the LED will display E5 and the air conditioner will shut off. Drainage information can be located on page 23 of the owner's manual.

We do appreciate your interest in the A/C. We would not recommend the setup of this unit on a patio as adequate ventilation through a window would be need for the unit to perform properly.

How often does the tank get full when constantly running on high will this be something I have to drain daily or will it be two or three days in between drains

Asked by: Olander18
I just bought this model yesterday and it stops running about every 30-45 minutes while on cool and gives me the E5 error code. I have to empty the bottom well in order for it to work. But there is hardly any container made shallow enough to fit there. So then I have to lift the thing up to drain and then it will run for another 30 minutes. I am returning this unit. This can't be right.

This unit has exhaust hose only. For every cubic foot of air exhausted a cubic foot of a hot air will be sucked in from around doors and and etc. Is there anyway to supply this unit fresh outside air?

Asked by: Aspen
I apologize, but no; since this unit is a portable model, and does not actually sit in the window or through the wall, it has no access to a fresh air supply.
