What People Are Saying

Rated 3.5 out of 5 by 4 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Works great. Would buy again Bought this unit to cool one floor our home. It is about 800 square feet, with an open concept. We use a couple ceiling fans to keep the air circulating through each room, and this unit can cool them down very quickly. My only gripe is that even in its lowest settings, it is still fairly noisey. Only had it for one summer so I can't really speak on its longevity, but overall I am very happy with it, and would buy it again if given the opportunity. Price was a little higher than I would have liked, but you get what you pay for. October 25, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Worst Air Conditioner Ever This is my second LG thru the wall air conditioner in two months. The first one limped along until it got hot....then it was worthless. I returned it thinking it might be defective and got another one, having had great faith in LG appliances. The second was worthless from the start. I've been sitting in temperatures over 100 degrees for nearly 2 weeks now just to remain brand loyal. I'll never buy an LG product again. July 7, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 This products serves my needs Although we only use the AC for very hot days to cool our cat in a game room (ex garage), I plan to use it when my grandson moves into the game room while he attends college. Thusfar all has been well. July 4, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Happy with the product This unit has worked well and I have been pleased with it. June 14, 2012

Answer:
There are a few things that are needed to determine the BTU air conditioner you may need. We need to know if the room will be occupied by many people, Is a kitchen included, sun exposure and if ceiling is insulated. But, based on average, you need a 15,000-20,000 BTU air conditioner.
