What People Are Saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LG Dryer Electric I have never had an electric dryer before, I won this one a sweepstake survey , so I was very happy about that. Had to have a 220 line run, but it is a very good dryer, and I'm very please truse far with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing style and results We purchased our dryer with high expectations. What we didn't expect was how great it would look and how amazing it worked. My wife is not the most technical person, but she found the manual easy to read and understand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love how they stack! Bought this and have been using it for a few months now, don't use as much soap to do my laundry now which is great. Clothes are much cleaner and because they are stacked I have more space to work in or store things. It is also very quiet when It is running.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So nice it's worth hugging in the morning! Bought this dryer on advice of my son after my old dryer just up & had died when I returned home from vacation. Dryer was delivered within one week of purchased. Was set up by delivery men who also ran the dryer for a "test". My wife loved it! And it was very nice to have a dryer again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast drying! When combined with the 3050CW front load washer that spins clothes practically dry, this dryer completes the job in no time. I love it. I believe my electric use is cut in half and I spend a lot less time waiting for the laundry to dry. The sensor works great and it appears to adjust the drying time well based on how quickly (or not) the items are drying. I used to have certain items come out of my old dryer still damp around pockets and waistbands. I haven't had any of that since getting this dryer. It has more than enough options for me and it is easy to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So simple you don't have to think at all. No timing to set, the dryer just knows when the laundry is dry. Small load, Large Load, doesn't matter, select your options and let the machine do the rest. Effortless and convenient. The quality, efficiency, design, are top notch, and it's green too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Dryer Love the dryer---dry's a larger wash and still has plenty of room ---leaves clothing wrinkle free and we iron less. I would like the settings to be on the bottom of the machine since they are stackable so that makes the reading for the settings very high up

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A good dryer This is an excellent dryer with large capacity. Controls are simple after you read the instructions. No steam or frills.

What is the most efficient way to clean the dryer or to rid of any debris such as left over dog hair, dirt and other small particles? Is there a cycle?

Asked by: CMendez
The 'Maintenance' section on page 35 in your owner's manual for the LG 7.3 cu. ft. Ultra Large Capacity Dryer with Sensor Dry (Electric), Model # DLE3050W give explicit instructions of how to clean the lint filter which is responsible for catching foreign objects that are a by product of the drying. Regrettably, there is nothing in the manual that covers for pet hair or other small particles that the lint filter cannot handle nor is there a cycle that you can use to clean te dryer...^IFV

Can our use of dryer sheets in this dryer be causing a faulty "Flow Sense" error to shut the dryer off prematurely? I didn't know we weren't supposed to be using dryer sheets until I looked at this page.

Asked by: Angela81
It is as stated in your owner's manual for the LG 7.3 cu. ft. Ultra Large Capacity Dryer with Sensor Dry (Electric). Sensor dry cycles in this dryer utilize LG’s unique dual sensor system to detect and compare the moisture level in clothes and in the air and adjust the drying time as needed to ensure superior results. The dryer automatically sets the dryness level and temperature at the recommended setting for each cycle and the estimated time remaining will be shown in the display. The "Flow Sense" is something entirely different. The Flow Sense™ function featured in your dryer is an innovative sensing system that automatically detects blockages and restrictions in dryer ductwork. Keeping ductwork clean of lint buildup and free of restrictions allows clothes to dry faster and reduces energy use. If you are getting the "Flow Sense" error, don't use the dryer until you get the ductwork cleaned out cause it could lead to a fire or the dryer burning itself out...^IFV

My dryer is off but continues to run. I've removed the laundry, and now if I shut the door is still runs/rotates. Why

Asked by: Hjackson
We regret to read that your LG 7.3 cu. ft. Ultra Large Capacity Dryer with Sensor Dry (Electric), Model # DLE3050W continues to run even when off. There are a few parts in your dryer that can cause it to continue to run even when off. It could be your door switch which is a safety feature that is an on and off type switch that prevents the dryer drum from turning when the door is opened. If the dryer continues to tumble after the door is open the problem is most likely the door switch. It could be the timer, the cool down thermostat or the cycling thermostat. In short, the dryer will need to be inspected to determine which part is malfunctioning. If you would like to schedule a repair service, you can either submit an online repair service request form at, or you can call us at (800) 243-0000 to speak to a Call Representative and get assistance in scheduling a repair service...^IFV

How many watts per hour does the DLE3050 use?

Asked by: PeteZ
We appreciate your interest in this electric dryer. The electrical draw of this machine can vary slightly, depending on certain factors, such as the size of the load, the wetness of the fabrics, and which cycle is in use. This dryer averages about .25 kWh per pound in a normal cycle taking about an hour.

I never noticed clean filter flashing. Did it always do this or is there something I should be doing? The filter in front gets cleaned each time

Asked by: Ravachol
We appreciate your interest in this electric dryer. The CLEAN FILTER is an indicator that has been designed to appear before each cycle, simply as a reminder to do so. There is no cause for alarm with this notice.

dryer has power but when you push start button it shuts off

also clean filter light is on
Asked by: bigun
We regret the trouble you have experienced with this electric dryer. It is normal for the CLEAN FILTER light to activate when the Power button has been pressed. This is a reminder to clear the filter before the DRY cycle begins. However, if the dryer is deactivating itself so quickly, then there may be a problem with the power supply, control panel or another related component. The unit will likely require service. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at
