A revolutionary spin on laundry.

LG puts a modern design spin on the traditional top load laundry pair. By moving the control panel from the back to the front, the buttons and LED display are easier to read and use. This simple change makes for a more intuitive and functional design and a look that is unlike anything you’ve ever seen.

The quick fix

The quick fix

Late for the party and no time to iron your favorite outfit? The SteamFresh™ Cycle refreshes, and reduces wrinkles in up to five garments at a time with one 20-minute dryer cycle.

Get wise

Get wise

If you ever experience an issue with your LG dryer, you don't have to worry. The SmartDiagnosis™ feature helps the service center diagnose problems over the phone, or with a simple app on your smart phone, helping you minimize costly, inconvenient service calls.

Really dry clothes

Really dry clothes

What’s worse than pulling clothes out of the dryer and finding they’re still damp? Our Sensor Dry system measures the moisture levels during the cycle and automatically adjusts the drying time, to help ensure you get dry laundry every time.

What People Are Saying

Rated 4.9 out of 5 by 271 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Faster drying time Amazed at how much faster the dryer dries clothes. August 20, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Steam in the dryer...really?? I found an exception sale price for this dryer which is the only reason I bought it. I bought it despite the the steam feature, not because of it. I couldn't imagine myself using this feature often, if at all. However having bought it I thought I should try it--of course I became hooked. It is a great way to freshen up fabric items that you don't want to run through the wash too often; curtains/drapes, throw pillows, comforter (especially from guest beds which get dusty). A 15-20 minute cycle does a great job. July 19, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Efficient, fast drying, easy to use. Great dryer. Fast drying, easy to use, multiple features. First dryer I've owned with steam option, a big plus. June 15, 2015

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great features and settings. I am very, very happy with my dryer. Can't believe how fast my clothes get dry. It's very quiet and efficient. Paired with my wonderful LG washer it's a pleasure to do laundry. The over all appearance of my set is wonderful as it's the first thing you see when coming in my side door which everyone seems to want to use. Great decision to buy LG!!!! July 12, 2015

Answer:
No. Consumer Report said the steam feature was of limited value. We did not have the installer hook it up. Dryer works fine without it.

Answer:
The water feed to the dryer is only for steam so if you don't use steam you don't need to hook up the cold feed.

Answer:
If the wash tub isn't over 2/3 full, I wouldn't hesitate. HOWEVER, if it's a down comforter, there are a couple things to consider. One, each time you wash a down comforter, it loses it loft & hence insulation. Two, would worry more about drying a down comforter than washing it; takes time & low heat.

Answer:
Your new dryer is shipped to vent to the rear.
It can also be configured to vent to the bottom or side (right-side venting is only available on electric models).
An adapter kit, part number 383EEL9001B, may be purchased
from your LG retailer. This kit contains the necessary duct
components to change the dryer vent location.

How do I remove the inner door frame in order to reverse the door?

The instruction manual only says to use a flat head screw driver to remove the inner door frame. It doesn't say how to do this. When I start to pry the inner door off, it feels like I am going to bend the plastic and ruin the door frame.

Answer:
Be sure that you removed all of the screws and don't try to pull out the plastic hinge parts. You have to remove the frames before you do that. I took a plastic screwdriver and went around the frame lifting a little bit at a time. After a certain point, the whole frame was very easy to remove (basically separated on its own).

Answer:
We appreciate your interest in this dryer. There should be 12 screws, located around the edges of the door, which must be removed before the sections of the door can be separated. Very little “prying” should be required, once the screws have been extracted.
