A revolutionary spin on laundry.

A revolutionary spin on laundry.

LG puts a modern design spin on the traditional top load laundry pair. By moving the control panel from the back to the front, the buttons and LED display are easier to read and use. This simple change makes for a more intuitive and functional design and a look that is unlike anything you’ve ever seen.

The quick fix

The quick fix

Late for the party and no time to iron your favorite outfit? The SteamFresh™ Cycle refreshes, and reduces wrinkles in up to five garments at a time with one 20-minute dryer cycle.

Get wise

Get wise

If you ever experience an issue with your LG dryer, you don't have to worry. The SmartDiagnosis™ feature helps the service center diagnose problems over the phone, or with a simple app on your smart phone, helping you minimize costly, inconvenient service calls.

Really dry clothes

Really dry clothes

What’s worse than pulling clothes out of the dryer and finding they’re still damp? Our Sensor Dry system measures the moisture levels during the cycle and automatically adjusts the drying time, to help ensure you get dry laundry every time.

What People Are Saying

Rated 4.9 out of 5 by 271 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great features and settings. I am very, very happy with my dryer. Can't believe how fast my clothes get dry. It's very quiet and efficient. Paired with my wonderful LG washer it's a pleasure to do laundry. The over all appearance of my set is wonderful as it's the first thing you see when coming in my side door which everyone seems to want to use. Great decision to buy LG!!!! July 12, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Faster drying time Amazed at how much faster the dryer dries clothes. August 20, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good Dryer This is good machine as recommended by the appliance salesman. Got this together with the same model washer and both work well and look good. Will definitely recommend to friends and family if they need to buy new. July 23, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Steam in the dryer...really?? I found an exception sale price for this dryer which is the only reason I bought it. I bought it despite the the steam feature, not because of it. I couldn't imagine myself using this feature often, if at all. However having bought it I thought I should try it--of course I became hooked. It is a great way to freshen up fabric items that you don't want to run through the wash too often; curtains/drapes, throw pillows, comforter (especially from guest beds which get dusty). A 15-20 minute cycle does a great job. July 19, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by love controls in the front! Love the controls in the front! This dryer has loads of drying options and a huge capacity. I love being able to dry down comforters with room to spare. Two things drive me crazy about it. One is that if the dryer is even 'normally' full, when the door is opened, the clothes spill out. I wish the dryer had a taller lip on the inside drum to keep the clothes contained. I also wish the top wasn't sloped. Leaving a freshly folded stack of clothers on the dryer is a bad idea. I miss using this area as a transit spot for family members to pick up their clothes and put them away. Other than those 2 things, I highly recommend it! May 22, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best dryer ever! I love this dryer. So many options and settings. De-wrinkles with steamfresh or other wrinkle settings. Dries fast so uses less energy than other standard dryers. Senses wetness so even if you put it on heavy duty, it stops drying when it senses no moisture. Nice! It's pretty too. My only concern was the top getting scratched so I put a cover on top to keep it nice. It's slanted too so putting stuff on top really isn't a good idea anyway but I have nearly grown sons who don't care what they do to your stuff. May 16, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Still getting to know it. We needed a new dryer, and at Sears Outlet they had a Floor model at half price with twice the features as the one we went to see, which was built for Sears Kenmore by LG. Others we know have enjoyed their LG products, and we hope to have many happy years with the new dryer as we learn about it. May 1, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Efficient, fast drying, easy to use. Great dryer. Fast drying, easy to use, multiple features. First dryer I've owned with steam option, a big plus. June 15, 2015

It is hooked up to the same water line as your washer. You may have to purchase a Y connector for the hose.

We only have 30 inches of depth for this dryer including venting it out. With our current dryer we have a box that fits in the indentation where the exit vent comes out from the center of the dryer which gives us an extra couple of inches. See the picture looking down the back of the dryer. The silver square is the box that offsets a foot from the center of the dryer then goes into the vent in the wall. The wall vent comes out 2 inches from the wall. Then the square vent takes 2 inches. Our current dryer from front to back not including the venting is about 25.5 inches which gives the total of about 30 inches.

Answer:
Hi,
The back is just the opposite of what you need because it actually protrudes out a few inches. Although prior to purchase I measured our space several times to make sure that it would fit, it barely does for that reason. To complicate further, the door is not flush with the front of the unit so it protrudes out also. I think that the dryer is approx. 30" from the protruding front to the protruding back without the installed duct work considered in the measurements.
