LG Refrigerator
Energy Offer Announcement

as of November 14th, 2008

What is happening?

Based on guidance from the U.S. Department of Energy about the interpretation
of the testing rules for refrigerators, LG Electronics has changed the energy
ratings on certain kinds of refrigerators. Specifically, this affects LG French Door
with an ice and water dispenser in the door.

If you purchased one of these models prior to November 14, 2008, the new
measured energy rating of the refrigerator you purchased may be different from
what was indicated on the original Energy Guide label and other materials at the
time that you made the purchase.

What happens if I own one of these refrigerators?

LG is providing a three-part offer for consumers who have purchased these models. This will involve both modifying your refrigerator and providing cash payments for additional energy usage.
