What People Are Saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Keeper Great product performs well, Great picture easy to use, family friendly, Lots of features.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Buy Up. Don't waste your money on this unless you want a simple Blu-Ray Player. I had this product for a year before finally hooking up with Netflix. It worked fine with Netflix for a few days, and suddenly I can't get it to even recognize my wireless network. I have other devices in my home that have no problem with connectivity. So this will go into my pile of electronic garbage, and I will "buy up" and get a much better unit from another manufacturer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great entertainment for low price I bought this nice LG blu-ray player because I have to LG surround sounds and I love them, I was not let down this time either. Features are just as good as the top of the line models they have, and may and has parental control, and to top it all off it has WiFi, so no need for extra wires.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Companion for LG TVs The LG BP330 Blu-ray Disc was my first blu-ray purchase. I can, honestly, see the difference between it and the standard disc player. I especially like the feature of controlling the television with one remote. One other feature is that it's compact - doesn't take up a lot of space.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Garbage The unit worked fine for about one month. Since then it has been nothing but trouble. For MONTHS it has had some kind of Service Update message that appears every time I use it that makes no sense. Annoying. It NEVER remembers I am logged in to Netflix. I will watch an episode of a show, then go to the next episode and WHAM I am asked to sign up or sign in again to my Netflix account. Or it will bump me all the way back out to the premium menu. This unit is going in the trash. My next player will definitely not be an LG.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from How bout NO! the Hulu app has never worked properly. the vudu app now states that it must be refurbished (what ever that means). and no matter what the Netflix, hulu and youtube apps all shut off in the middle of shows for no reason every single day. the dics player works great, but the apps are terrible.

Upgraded router to dual-band wireless AC. BP330 sees 2.4GHz SSID / not showing 5.8GHz SSID in list. Can't connect with manual input of SSID either! All our other wireless N devices can see both SSIDs. Why can't the BP330?

I bought this blue ray player a year ago. How do you reinstall the Netflix app. The current one seems to be frozen or broken.

Asked by: CJusticePrevail
We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this BluRay player. The player does not have the capability to delete the Netflix application. However, for this situation, it would be suggested to access the NETWORK menu, select NETFLIX and then select DEACTIVATE NETFLIX. Once this is done, you may re-install/re-initilalize this feature. If there are additional questions in the matter, please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000.

I bought this blue ray player about 2 years ago and I'm wondering does it support 3D movies? I have a LG tv that supports 3D tv but wondering if this player supports it too?

Asked by: Bella212
I apologize, but no; according to our records, it does not appear that this BluRay player is a 3D player.

Why would an LG BP330 play DVDs and Blu-rays perfectly, except that the sound cuts out for a half second every twenty to sixty seconds?

I just installed the LG BP330 last night, fresh from the box. Audio and video quality are excellent, but for some reason the sound goes briefly silent for a fraction of a second every so often while it plays. The video is not interrupted when the audio is, but plays through perfectly. Only the audio is affected. Despite how short the audio cutouts are, it's noticeable and startling each time it happens. It does not matter whether the disc is Blu-ray or DVD, or which movie we play, sometimes only five or six seconds apart, usually more like a minute apart. The periodic sound interruptions continue for the entire duration of the film. Our old DVD did not have this problem, and no other audio or video component we use has it either. Plugging the LG BP330 into different HDMI ports in the amp makes no difference. By process of elimination, the most likely causes are either a hardware fault or an improper setting. If it's a hardware fault, only Life's Good can help, either with replacement or repair, so first I'm exploring whether there is some setting on the LG BP330 capable of causing these kinds of periodic audio hiccups. Is there? PS: I like the elegance of the unit's design, its compact size, its simple AV interfaces, and its array of features, so I'm very interested in resolving this problem so I can continue to use this model. It's a lovely little machine. I hope you can help me.

blue ray updates

Whenever I try to access Netflix it asks me to sign in. I never used to have to do this. I contacted Netflix and they said I probably needed an "update" for my BP330 player. I'm confused. Can you help me? Thank you.
Asked by: flew

How does the player interact with an LG Smart TV

I already have an LG TV which provides me with Netflix, Amazon and all the other Smart features that this Blu Ray player does. If I add this player to my setup, will it provide a second way to get Netflix? If so, it could be very confusing.
Asked by: DaveTheGreat
If both devices have the same features, then yes, it would be possible to access the functions from both devices. If this is undesirable, the network access can be deactivated from the player, and only allow functionality from the TV. If additional information is needed, please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000.

Can I use a universal remote on my LB BP330 since I misplaced the actual remote?

Asked by: kristenmwitt
We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this BluRay player. The use of a Universal Remote Control would depend upon the controller itself, rather than the player. Accessories can be obtained through our parts distributor, MCM Electronics. Their contact number, for placing orders, is 800-824-9491. You can also use their website, at The part number for the original remote control is AKB73735801.
