Rated 3 out of 5 by from software or driver problems i have 2 of this model. the first one i had for a year. in that year i ran it as a player only work great at playing both dvd and blueray. i finally got internet connected it to the network it did a user unrequested firmware update. after that it no longer could read bluray disc. plus i installed all streaming apps to find out half of them are no longer supported. also the apps freeze up when streaming youtube is the worst one. i have to unplug power for 10 sec. then plug back in about once an hour. i dont have cable so streaming is my main source for tv. in that year i built up a pretty good bluray collection so i had to buy another one. i did this because price is right and having two of the same (lg) meant i could add the smartshare software to my desktop and stream media to players. now stream that way they work great no freezing up. i built the desktop for this purpose. plus my laptops and tablets have the smartshare software on them so i can stream to them to. as for the streaming to apps i bought another device thats more stable and i can add the apps i want. my question for lg is there software/firmware i can put on a usb drive and manual install it to fix the player issue with not playing bluray? ps the second player did the same firmware update after connecting to wifi. i held my breath the same wouldnt happen to it with bluray playing. fyi it didnt it still plays both type disk great. for the life of me i dont know why that happened to first one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great value Bought the player to replace an older DVD player. Now that I have a player that reads DVD, Blu-Ray, and has smart features, I am amazed at the price.

My LG CD do have only white and red can I stil connect to LG bmp35 blu ray DVD player.

Asked by: Topie
Hi Topie. Please pardon us, but we are not quite clear on your inquiry. The RCA cables and RCA analog ports are color coded as Yellow, Red and White. The Yellow tipped cable carries the video signal and the Red and White are for Stereo Audio. If you do not have the White and Red Audio Ports, you will not get any audio. The LG Blu-ray Disc™ Player with Streaming Services and Built-in Wi-Fi®, Model # BPM35 does not use these type of connections since it sends out an uncompressed 5.1 digital audio signal through its HDMI® Out port. HDMI® ports carry both a digital video signal and as mentioned before, an uncompressed 5.1 digital audio signal. Unfortunately, without knowing what other connections you have on your "LG CD", we cannot determine if you can connect the BMP35 Blu-ray Player to it...^IFV
