What People Are Saying

Rated 3 out of 5 by 3 reviewers.
Rated 1 out of 5 by I got a real lemon! I don't watch many DVD's, but bought this for those times I do. I purchased this player on 12/30/13 and upon attempting to view my 4th dvd in April of 2014, I heard a grinding sound when I turned on the player and then the door continued to open & close repeatedly! I was able to return it to Target, so I got my money back, but probably won't be in any hurry to purchase electronics from LG in the future! July 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great little machine I recently bought the DVD/USB, which is a small DVD player with a USB port. I have several of my favorite movies on a memory stick that I keep inserted into the USB port. This little gem allows me to watch continuous movies while falling asleep at night. Love it!!!! Rated 3 out of 5 by good for the money I purchased the the DP122 because I had just purchased an LG big screen TV 55ls4500. Although both have great quality, I was disappointed that the two are not compatible. I called customer service who confirmed this. I was hoping for seamless integration. June 20, 2013

Answer:
We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this DVD player. The files should be able to be stored on the USB drive in a compatible format, which should be read once the drive is connected to the player. If you have more specific questions, please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000.

How do I get the USB to work?

I received no manual with the DVD player and there isn't one for downloading on your site that I can find anyways. I need to know how to get the USB port on the DVD player to work. Is there a button on the remote for it? If so, I don't know which one.

Thank you,

Judy

Answer:
The answer I was really looking for was answered for me by email from LG. I wanted to know how to get the USB flashdrive to work. The answer was that the flashdrive has to be formatted to FAT16 or FAT32 in order for the DVD/USB player to read it. I formatted my flashdrive to FAT32 and it now works.

Answer:
This player is designed for compatibility with a USB 2.0 flash drive. The files must be compatible as MPEG-1, MPEG PS/TS, MPEG4, DivX or VOB. Once connected, the player should ask if you want to view the video files. If you have any questions about this, please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000.

How to Hook up DP122 to a television set

1. Does the DP122 connect to the cable signal first, or does it
connect to the TV first?
2. The 3 colored 3 wire is easy to understand.
The connection for "COAX" (apparently must have a convertor),
Does it go to the TV "coax in" or to the TV"coax out" ?
I've tried everything and I can't get anything on the tv screen.
I tried to register this purchase, and got the message....
"this product cannot be registered".

Answer:
We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this DVD player. Your cable signal will not connect to this player in any fashion. The COAX connection is a Digital Coaxial Audio connection that will only transfer an audio signal to a Home Theater System using a RCA-style connection. No adapter is needed for this. For connecting to the TV, you will only need the standard YELLOW/RED/WHITE cables. Your cable signal will only run directly to the TV. If you have additional questions, please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000.
