What People Are Saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love it!!!! I love it so far. Had it about a month great picture quiet fan and I love I don't have to mount it from the ceiling.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pictures off a high quality I bought the projector on eBay from Korea, but I cannot find my country when I will set the time. And it cannot receive Danish TV channels.
Date published: 2018-01-15
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Soft On the Edges Color was nice out of the box, as well as the WebOS and remote. You have to watch it in complete darkness for the best result just like any projector. It is connected to my AVR where my bluray and computer is attached. The image is projected to a 120 inch screen. If you are only using it for viewing movies then I would give it a 4 star, however if you are going to use it as a super giant computer monitor then you will be disappointed because the text are not sharp on the corners, and no matter how much tweaking or adjustment you do one corner will be sharp and the other will be soft. If adjust that soft corner then the other corner will turn soft, and vice versa. Same thing when you are looking at pictures. I don't know if that's the drawback of UST projectors or mine just have an issue. But you will hardly noticed it if you are just watching movies, but even though, it's annoying. On dark scenes it is not as black as I would like it to be. Since I am a newbie when it comes to projector, I can not totally say that it is the projector's shortcoming, because I am just using an outdoor screen that is hanged on the wall of my living room. I am positively sure it is going to be different if I use a dedicated hometheater projection screen. That is why I am just giving it 4 star for watching movies and 1 star for using it as a computer projector.

Dear LG, are your projectors for home cinema measured in ansi lumens or lumens? My research tells me 'ansi lumens' is more accurate. Is this correct and if so, I'm looking for the best wifi, bluetooth projector you have that ALSO has an embedded battery

Asked by: chordlessprojectorguy
“Lumen” is the basic measure of luminous flux (the observed power or strength of light). ANSI lumen is measuring lumen as stipulated by the ANSI standardization. Thus, it is more specific and accurate for determining the brightness of the projector. We currently have 14 projectors in our lineup and only the soon to be released LG 4K UHD Projector, Model # HU80KA has a brightness that is expressed in Ansi Lumens, for all the others, it is expressed as Lumens. We have projectors that have Bluetooth Sound Out, some that have both Bluetooth and Bluetooth Out and some that have built-in Bluetooth speakers. Regrettably, we are not clear on your inquiry with regards to "the best Wi-Fi" and would need some clarification. We highly recommend that you visit our site at http://www.lg.com/us/projectors. There is a Comparison function there that you can use to compare and contrast with and the projectors that have the features you are interested in are models: PH30JG, PF50KA, PH550, PW1500, PF1500W, PF1000UW, HF80JA, PH450UG, PH450U, and PH150G...^IFV

Hi This model is not sold in Australia. Is there any problem if I buy it in the US and take it home, will it work? Thanks

Asked by: King66
Hi King66. The LG Ultra Short Throw Laser Smart Home Theater Projector, Model # HF85JA has a built-in DTV TV Tuner, an ATSC tuner which is not compatible with the DVB-T terrestrial digital Television standard used in Australia. The voltage is not an issue since it comes with an AC/DC Adapter, Model # LCAP31, that has an input voltage rating of 100-240 V @ 50/60 Hz and outputs a DC voltage of 19V, 7.37 A that the projector is rated for. The other thing that you need to be aware of is that the Manufacturer's warranty is only effective. in the U.S. and U.S. territories...^IFV

The PF1000UW has a shorter throw distance and has ability to be controlled by smart phone (via TV Plus App) There are some slight differences in several of the tech specs, notably: screen size, projection image, lamp type (LED vs Laser), lamp life, noise, power consumption, and product dimensions and weight (4.2 pounds vs 4.6).
