Rated 5 out of 5 by from PB63U projector; Beyond compare This is an amazing product. Sharp projection. Very nice picture quality. Light, compact, simple to operate. Far surpassed my expectations, I could not be happier. Pairs up nicely with a variety of other devices, such as Blu-Ray players. Great for summer movie night on the porch, camping or watching TV on your choice of screen or wall.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great projector The projector is sufficiently bright in a dimly lit room and very bright when in a dark room. I use it with maximum power saving mode which reduces the fan noise (low brightness). It also has WiDi through which I can wirelessly project. WiDi has lots of hardware requirements, so check before you buy if this is a must for you. Mine stopped working after the latest software upgrade for Intel WiDi application. It's a s/w problem rather than a projector issue. The first time I had issues with connecting using WiDi, I called customer support and they were helpful. The sound from the built in speakers is OK when using HDMI, but not that great when using built in TV tuner card. They are still good for their size. The size of the projector is small. It is the size of a sandwich. Overall the projector has all the features I need. It does not have optical zoom, so the placement of projector may be a problem.

LGPB63U projector- what resolution does it support

I know the projector's native resolution is 720p, butwill the projector support lower resolution for example 480p or 360p which are commonly on internet such as youtube videos?
Asked by: Sam80
Hello Sam80, your inquiry is appreciated. The LG Portable LED Projector with Built-in Digital TV Tuner, Model # PB63U has a native resolution of WXGA (1280X800) which means it will support up to that resolution. You can view lower resolutions on it although the picture quality may not be that great...^IFV

What component signal/resolutions are supported?

I am trying to find out if I can use this projector with a Wii using the Wii component cables connected with the optional component to RGB cable. I know which cables I need, I just don't know if the projector supports the signal that the Wii will send to it.

Does it support Miracast?

I bought this projector with the intent to use the WiDi interface for display. I just discovered that Windows 8.1 does not support WiDi anymore -- only Miracast. Does this projector also support Miracast? If not, is it possible to update the firmware on this projector and will it be updated to support Miracast? (Seems to me that compatibility with Windows 8.1 is a big requirement.)

Are there replacement bulbs for when the light goes out? How much do they cost to replace, or do you have replace the entire projector?

I am looking to use this in a classroom setting.
Asked by: Ralimon
i asked the same question. It is a LED bulb, rated for 30,000 hours of operation. Bulbs are replaceable. There is nothing in the manual about that, and the case is sealed, so you would need to send it back to the manufacturer for repair, but that's pretty standard. By the time the bulb wears out (~15-20 years) you'll want a tech upgrade anyway.
