What People Are Saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tasting water The original water filter produced great tasting water. Went online to order a replacement and thought I was ordering an LG filter but it was made by someone else. Water taste is terrible. I'm ordering another LG, from LG. I recommend this filter even though it's too expensive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great Love the ice and water contained in my fridge so I love the fact that I know my water is contaminate free with the filter.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best tasting water that no bottle water can beat LG has an auto replacement program that will auto ship water filters when it is time to change. Takes the guesswork out of the equation. Install is quick and easy. Only suggestion is make them plug and play without running several gallons of water through them prior to consumption. Keeping the filter up to date and current keeps the water and ice tasting real good.

Why would my water pressure decrease after changing my water filter?

I replaced my water filter for the 3rd time and now my water pressure has decreased. This didn't happen on my previous filter changes.

We're sorry to hear that you are experiencing reduced water flow in your LG Refrigerator after replacing the LG 6 month / 200 Gallon Capacity Replacement Refrigerator Water Filter (ADQ36006101), Model # LT-700P. Either one of 2 things is behind the reduced water water flow. You may have a defective water filter, which if that is case, will need to be exchanged for a new one. The most likely cause though may be that you have air in the water line. After changing the water filter, you should dispense 2.5 gallons of water to remove trapped air and contaminants from the system. Depress and release the dispenser pad for cycles of 30 seconds ON and 60 seconds OFF rather than dispensing continuously...^IFV

Ice tastes bad after month and half of use. Refrigerator is ONLY month and a half old! No sills.

This is DIMM. Thank you for lengthy answer BUT there are no api;;s and the refrigerator is ONLY a month old, just bought it! With its first filter! No problem with ice with the previous refrigerator, therefore - the city water is not to blame! At this point the only thing I could possible blame it at is the filter itself or the line b/w the filter and the ice makers (there are two - one in the door and one in the freezer! Any clue from these information what could have caused it?
Asked by: Dimmm
Hello Dimmm. In our previous response to your inquiry as to why the ice tasted bad but your water was fine, the possible causes given were examples of what might cause the ice to taste bad and have an odor to it but the water leave the water tasting okay and were in no way meant to cast any aspersions on the city water. You could either try another water filter, or have the refrigerator inspected so the problem can be diagnosed. If you would like to schedule an online repair service, please visit our site at [] You will find options to have a local Repair Provider do the repair service or LG do it. You can also contact our Customer Interactive Center at (800) 243-0000 for assistance with the repair service...^IFV

Ice tastes bad after month and half of use.

Purchased the LG refrigerator month and a half ago, did what I was told by draining first 2-3 gallons of water and ice but ice continues to smell and taste bad. Water is fine. Please advise!
Asked by: DIMM
Hello DIMM. Although the recommendation is that the LG 6 month / 200 Gallon Capacity Replacement Refrigerator Water Filter (ADQ36006101), Model # LT-700P should be changed every 6 months, that is not written in stone because depending on your usage, you might have to replace it more frequently. However, the water line that supplies the water dispenser is the same as that for the Ice dispenser so if the water tastes fine, if you’re not often retrieving ice cubes, it could be that the old ice has absorbed odors from its food neighbors inside of your freezer or refrigerator. Food gases are easily transferred to water and ice. Ice cubes can easily absorb odors from spoiled food inside of your refrigerator’s interior compartment. The other cause may be if your city or well-provided water is full of impurities, minerals, salt or sulfur, your water and in turn, your ice cubes, will have an unfavorable taste and odor, but since you say the water is fine, it might just be that the ice is absorbing odors as described above. Check the refrigerator to make sure that you don't have a spill that might have gone unnoticed and caused mildew...^IFV
