What People Are Saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to order and install I bought this filter online since it was difficult to find in stores. I now receive emails as to when the replacement filter will be shipped.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Removes chlorine taste I have used these filters since purchasing my LG refrigerator. Our city water always has a strong taste and smell of chlorine but this filter removes the chlorine taste and smell giving us a great tasting water. My husband used to not drink "straight" water but now he fills his glass directly from the refrigerator water dispenser.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best In The West !! I've owned this 'fridge for a couple years & have never been disappointed in it's performance. It's truly "no maintenance" except for a new filter every 6 months.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not satisfied Purchased this refrigerator about a year ago at a premium price expecting premium service. The ice maker is terrible. During the summer we have to purchase ice. The ice compartment is very small and it produces ice very slowly. Also, the water filters are very expensive. Would not recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from using the water filter makes the water seem much clearer than before we changed it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Over priced Although one of the easiest filters to change in any refrigerator I've ever owner, it is also one of the most expensive. Not even sure if it is doing a good job without taking water to be tested. I only use water that's been filtered for my coffee and tea and I'm still seeing a lot of scale build up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So easy! We are enjoying our first refrigerator with a water and ice dispenser on the door. We live in an area with a heavy lime concentration in the water. This filter gets it ALL out. I am not sure what else it gets out but the water tastes infinitely better than what comes from our tap. And, the best thing is that it is so easy to replace. Just remove the old one and pop the new one in. Easy peasy!!

Does a water filter effect the making of ice for your refrigerator?

The water that is used for making ice in your refrigerator is filtered through the LG 6 month / 200 Gallon Capacity Replacement Refrigerator Water Filter (Part # ADQ36006101), Model # LT700P/LT700PC. It is recommended that you change your filter about every 6 months but there may be times when you need to change it sooner because when it gets clogged, your refrigerator will stop producing the same size of ice cubes or a smaller quantity of ice cubes which is an indication that the filter needs to be changed...^IFV
