Rated 1 out of 5 by from Product quit working after a month. I purchased this product in May 2017 and it quitJune 2017. The water dispenser would not operate, so I switched it out and now works ok. When I requested LG send me a replacement, I was told tough because I had not bought it through their site. Wouldn't stand behind their product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from doesn't last very long Received our fridge 5 months ago and now water tastes and smells terrible - like plastic from inside the unit because our tap water doesn't taste anything like it. Not impressed with how long the filter worked considering I would say moderate use at most.

Does a water filter effect the making of ice for your refrigerator?

Asked by: Cush
The water that is used for making ice in your refrigerator is filtered through the LG 6 month / 200 Gallon Capacity Replacement Refrigerator Water Filter (Part # ADQ36006101), Model # LT700P/LT700PC. It is recommended that you change your filter about every 6 months but there may be times when you need to change it sooner because when it gets clogged, your refrigerator will stop producing the same size of ice cubes or a smaller quantity of ice cubes which is an indication that the filter needs to be changed...^IFV

Does this filter help with low PH? Our level is a 5, looking for a filter for fridge model LFXS30766S to increase PH level.

Asked by: Ammcclu
The LG 6 month / 200 Gallon Capacity Replacement Refrigerator Water Filter (part # ADQ36006101), Model # LT-700P is the correct filter for the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 0 cu.ft. Super-Capacity French Door Refrigerator w/ Door-in-Door®, Model # LFXS30766S. This Water Filter System is tested and certified by NSF International against NSF/ANSI Standard 42 and Standard 53 for the reduction of various contaminants including Cryptosporidium parvum oocysts. pH is regulated by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The regulated values for the pH of drinking water are between 6.5 and 8.5. Typically, water with a pH value lower than 6.5 may have a higher concentration of lead or copper due to degrading pipes and fixtures. Although the Water Filter removes lead contaminants at pH levels of 6.5 & 8.5, it might not raise your pH values significantly to make the water more alkaline. There are methods that you can employ to raise the pH value of your water like some distiller units that can be conveniently hooked to your refrigerator’s water and ice unit...^IFV
