1 - Fully charge the battery.
2 - Save any important data before updating the software on your device. Any data not saved on a micro SD card or PC may be erased; i.e. contacts, images, etc.
3 - Remove the micro SD memory card.
4 - Close all open applications on your computer before proceeding with the update.
5 - Ensure device "Mass storage only" mode is not selected. Application -> Settings -> SD card & phone storage.

a. Calling and messaging functions are not available during the update process.
b. The entire upgrade process takes up to 1.5 hours depending on internet connection and PC configuration.
c. The handset is automatically reset during this process.

Ensure Your Driver is Up to Date

In order to connect your phone to your PC, you must download and install the latest driver below to you PC. Please select "Run" when prompted. When you are finished continue to step 2.

Restart Your Computer

Make sure to bookmark this page. When you restart your computer, click on your bookmark to return to this page and install the Mobile Support Tool.

Install the LG Mobile Support Tool

The LG Mobile Support Tool will easily help you update the software for your device. Please select "Run" when prompted.

Connect Device and Start Update

1 - Connect your phone to your PC using the USB cable included with your device.

a. Do not tap "Turn on USB storage" on your phone screen.
b. Do not disconnect the USB cable until the update is complete.
c. If you experience errors, check USB connection or try another port.

2 - Click 'Start Updating' within the LG Mobile Support tool to begin.

a. If your phone software upgrade stops before it has completed, please do not close the update tool and try the update again.
b. The handset is automatically reset during this process.

3 - When upgrade is complete, turn on your phone and complete phone setup.
