What People Are Saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! My last refrigerator was the same style but was a bit bigger and heavier and the doors would not always stay closed. This LG has a magnet feature on the doors that keep them tightly closed. I also love the large pull out drawer in the refrigerator and the alarm that goes off if the doors (both refrigerator AND freezer) are left open.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sleek Design I was so glad that LG offered a smaller width refrigerator. I looked at quite a few places and for the money, this is the only refrigerator that was going to fit in the small space in my condo and still be a good value. It has a very sleek design. The bottom freezer is very convenient and easy on the back! The top portion has shelves that are easily adjustable for your needs. Even though it is narrow, it has plenty of space, and then some, for all my food products. Overall, this was an excellent buy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I purchased this over a month ago and I really enjoy the room inside the refrigerator and freezer however, the shelving in the refrigerator is not accommodating. In my opinion, it needs to be re-designed....very limited on placing items the way you want.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what we wanted We paid a bit more for this, but it was so well worth it. We love the lighting, the capacity, the ice maker, and how easy it is to get in and out of. It runs sooo quiet that I wondered at first if it was on. It has been great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for my application, but...... Had one issue that took a day or so to resolve that being, every 24 hours or so, there was a loud buzzing/hammering sound coming from the bottom of the unit. It only lasted about 5 seconds each time so I couldn’t tell exactly tell where it was coming from. I reviewed the owners manual and online help (never called anyone) but only saw references to the ice maker regarding a noise as I described. Now, I disregarded those references because I ordered a model without an ice maker. Well, I eventually got on my knees, stuck my head in the freezer, looked up, and there was an ice maker “unit” (or part of one) that had an “on/off” switch which was turned ON. I turned off the switch and no more noise. Maybe all units have all or part of the ice maker installed. If so, an additional reference (additional manual note or door sticker) might be in order to avoid the issue for future buyers. Apart from that, I love the refrigerator, great quality and workmanship. Perfect for my application.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the French door in standard fridge wideth I love that this fridge can fit into a standard fridge space. Ice maker is great and has large storage capacity. The fridge storage itself could be much better designed. We had to take out a shelf in order to get tall items in the fridge. Gallon jars don't fit otherwise. So we lost space. Same with the door storage.... can't fit tall items. The lighting is fantastic. Love the ice plus feature. Freezer seems easy to access most items. The door alarm is handy. With standard fridges a good push and the door shuts itself. With this fridge one must push the door all the way shut. I bought a French door Style due to wanting to grow less science experiments.... everything is much more visible in this style versus a freezer above fridge below style

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the inside I really love the inside of my refrigerator, but it's impossible to keep the finger prints off the doors. Not sure what to use on the doors.

Is this model a zero clearance when doors are open? Which models are? My refrigerator needs to go against a wall so need zero clearence for opening door. Thanks

Asked by: Dahni
HI Dahni. The ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG Black Stainless Steel Series 21 cu. ft. Large Capacity 30" Wide 3-Door French Door Refrigerator, Model # LFCS22520D is not a "zero clearance" model. What you are referring to used to be listed a "Door Edge Clearance" for refrigerators. This model has a width of 29 3/4". When the doors are opened 90˚, the width is 38 1/4". THe difference is 8.1/2" meaning that you have a door edge clearance of 4 1/4". Regrettably, the specifications do not include a specification for door edge clearance anymore. We have a total of 74 refrigerators in our lineup that are catergorized as InstaView™ Door-in-Door®, Door-in-Door®, French Door, Side -By-Side, Top Freezer, and Bottom Freezer models. It might be quicker for you to visit our site at review which of these interests you. There are filters on the site that you can use to contrast and compare the refrigerators and use to narrow down your search. The Specifications list the widths for the refrigerators and also lists their widths with the door open 90˚. If those two specifications are the same, then the refrigerator will have what you refer to as "zero clearance"...^IFV

The caps you are referencing are so that the corners do not get banged up. They can be removed if desired. We would recommend unplugging the refrigerator before unscrewing the caps. Also ensure once the caps are removed that the screw is placed back in the empty hole. ^CP
