What People Are Saying

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Liking it without doubt. Bought the counter depth for aesthetics. Looks great.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from A Bit Disappointed Negatives:The fruit/vegetable are to small. At times there is a gurgling sound from the back. The freezer door does not stay open. The slide tray is at an angle. The value (cost vs. quality) was poor. Positives: Love the ice and water on the door. But wish the water was a bit colder. The lighting is very good. The door compartments are large.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the brightness I needed a french door fridge and wanted a freezer on the bottom. When I looked into fridges THis one jumped out at me because was so bright inside and there were lights everywhere. I love that when I open the door there is bright lights and I can see everything in my fridge.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Third Time is a Charm We renovated our kitchen in 2012. A new LG counter depth side by side was purchased for the new kitchen. That fridge lasted one year and was replaced by LG. The replacement fridge lasted longer, but suddenly one day, stopped cooling and we came home to a puddle of water on the floor. Our local appliance dealer worked with us to replace the fridge with a new LG French door counter depth fridge. So far I am loving it. The shelves are very spacious and everything in the fridge is very visible. Much better than the side-by-side. Time will tell how well this fridge performs. I hope it lasts ten years this time.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Worst refrigerator I've ever owned Bought this refrigerator in November 2014 so I've had some time to live with it. Looks great in my kitchen. Decent capacity for a cabinet depth model. Interior can easily be configured to accommodate different food items. Easy to keep clean. So by now you may wonder why this is the worst I've owned - frost. No, frost isn't accurate, ice. Once or twice a year, ice builds up below and behind the Glide N Serve drawer. The build-up is so severe, it requires us to move out all the food and disconnect the appliance for several DAYS to allow the ice to fully melt from all of the vents and crevices involved. And even then, since the design is meant to be frost free, one cannot be sure all the ice is fully cleared because the spaces are not accessible. I've had repair personnel to my home to trouble-shoot the problem and I was given the answer that the ice accumulates from moisture in the air due to having the door open too much. Open too much? We are a household of 4 adults, 1 of whom is off to college 8 months of the year and 2 of whom are at work each day. We are not in the habit of standing before the open fridge admiring its contents. Why did I never have this problem with other models when the children were small and more likely to stand lost in indecision?? Further, the home is heated in winter, air conditioned in summer, both of which remove moisture from air. And we have no humidifier in place. God help us if we were a larger family with younger children! I'm so thankful for my 30-some year old, energy inefficient Amana that stands year after year faithfully keeping my extra items cold in my basement. This is the workhorse that holds my food while my finicky LG is defrosting, inconveniencing us with running up and down stairs during every meal preparation. Photos below show this latest episode - and this particular time, I've caught it before it really built up badly. Purchase this fridge only if you enjoy defrosting. It certainly is not the frost-free appliance it claims to be.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stopped cooling just out of warranty. Owned this product for just over a year and it recently stopped cooling. Frankly, I'm blown away by just how quickly this refrigerator failed. It's a shame, until this point i was very happy with my purchase. Repair costs for the unit are still up in the air, but this experience has soured me on LG products.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DO NOT PURCHASE! Do not purchase this refrigerator. I purchased this refrigerator based on size and space needed as well as certain features that were preferable. There are marks on the stainless that are only visible when the light hits it at a certain angle. The marks appear as if the stainless is "bleached", lightened in a streaked pattern on both doors but not on freezer. Unable to photograph due to glare from stainless and light required to see the marks. Have been escalated to the "EXECUTIVE" team and need to have a technician determine if it's a manufacturing defect as they do not cover "cosmetic" in their warranty. Purchased all other appliances at same time with a different manufacturer and the stainless on those if perfect and have all been care for in the same manner for similar length of time. Purchased 2/2016.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good looks but loud This refrigerator looks good. I have been using it for the past month or so. I find it very loud sometimes. Other than that I am satisfied with this refrigerator.

Hello we just bought this fridge and the water won't stay cold. It stays cold for one cup and then it is warm after that. Any help is appreciated

Asked by: waga962
We regret the trouble you have experienced with this refrigerator. The water tank, in the door, should be able to hold some water, allowing it to chill before use. The number of glasses of cold water will depend upon how large the glasses used are, the frequency of use, and the confirmation of actual cold water being used, rather than warm. Please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000 for additional assistance in this matter.

I am seeing error code rf on my fridge. What is wrong with my fridge?

Asked by: Dianeb
We regret the trouble you have experienced with this refrigerator. The rF error code is and indication that there is a problem with the Refrigerator Fan Motor. Unplug the refrigerator for about 45 seconds to a minute, and then reconnect it. If the motor does not operate properly after this attempt, then the refrigerator will require service. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair/support-repair-provider-lookup.jsp.

What is the defaul and the recommended (if different) temperature settings for both the refrigerator and freezer on the LFXC24726?

Asked by: CliffATX
It is recommended that, when the unit is first installed, the freezer temperature should be set to 0 degrees Fahrenheit, while the refrigerator should be set to 37 degrees. Once the unit reaches these temperatures, you may change the setting to however you would prefer.

We are having a cabinet built around this refrigerator, which we just bought. What are the minimum clearances needed on the sides, back, and top?

Asked by: AmeliaG
We appreciate your interest in this refrigerator. According to the information posted on our website, the dimensions of this cabinet are 28 3/8” deep by 70 1/4" high by 35 3/4” wide. The minimum clearances should allow for 1/8” on both sides, with an inch behind the cabinet.

How to change the temperature. It does not change to desire temperature i.e. 37c and 0c for freezer. Pressing the perspective bottom change the temperature only within 4-5 digits up or down!!!

Asked by: Parrot
We regret the trouble you have experienced with this refrigerator and its settings. The 37 and 0 degree settings are Fahrenheit degrees, rather than Celsius, as is listed in the question above. The temperature change buttons are supposed to allow changes of about 5 degrees. That which was described appears to be normal operation. Please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000 for additional questions regarding this matter.

Does anyone know how to level the refrigerator front to back? Our is tilted to the back. The manual says it has levelers only in the front and our floor seems to be lower in the back, so need to raise the back of the refrigerator. Thank you

Asked by: mbtasso
We regret the trouble you have experienced with this refrigerator. It is correct that the only leveling legs are those at the front 2 corners. If these feet cannot be lowered further, then some other method will be required, by which the back of the cabinet will be raised, and yet be stable.

I am wondering how the left door flap seal is supposed to work. Do you need to close left door first in order to properly engage the flap?

Asked by: Chris3
We appreciate your interest in this refrigerator. There is no indication that one door needs to be closed before the other door. Please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000 for any additional information in the matter.
