What People Are Saying

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This is the worst refrigerator we ever have. A lot of ice build-up in my fridge.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Fridge Ever Purchased this refrigerator in early July. We decided on the counter depth model because of where the fridge is located in our kitchen. Two months later, I couldn't be happier with our choice. I love that I don't have to "dig" thru other items to get what I need from the back. Everything is within very easy reach. Better yet, is all the wonderful space. Then there's the produce drawers. I'm amazed (and pleased) at how fruits and vegetables keep. Absolutely no regrets with this model.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shelf design is great on this product I can keep everything in my LG lined up and in view so that it's easy to find anything and everything. The ice maker being located where it is does not take away storage space in the refrigerator. I love everything about this appliance from its good looks to its usefulness.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from love my new refrigerator I needed a new fridge quickly and LG kept popping up on every site as the best. I love how much I can fit inside as a compared to my old side by side.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Buy Just remodeled our kitchen. The LG counter depth refrigerator met our needs in size and quality. There are only 2 of us since our kids have grown up so a counter depth was adequate capacity. If we had kids at home we would have gone larger.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent! We are delighted. We,be had this counter depth fridge for two months now and overall love it. The only issues we've had are a bit of frost periodically in the freezer and the fact that we wish the handle on the inside the freezer pull drawer was oriented the opposite way. Currently it's the opposite of all the other drawers in the fridge. We have had no problems at all with it and it is very quiet - and I'm an audio engineer who is very sensitive to annoying and/or loud noises. Before you buy make sure you can live with the smaller cubic foot capacity when compared to full sized fridges. We highly recommend this model.

We are considering the LG LFXC24726S however the reviews on Amazon are horrible, all around Icing

We really had our hearts set on this fridge however reading the reviews on Amazon everyone seems to be having the same problem with Icing. Does LG plan on addressing this ?

Our 7 month old unit whined when brand new but the whine is getting louder and louder.  What is wrong and what can we do about it?  The noise is driving us nuts.

Asked by: dfhayes
We regret to read that your 7 month old ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 24 cu.ft Ultra-Capacity 3 Door French Door Refrigerator, Model # LFXC24726S has been making whining sounds since it was brand new and that the wining has gotten louder. That certainly is not a healthy sign. We apologize for any inconveniences that you may have experienced as a result. Refrigerators can be noisy (clicking, buzzing, humming, high pitched squeaks) and some sounds are just a normal process of refrigeration. Sometimes a refrigerator will develop a problem and a high pitched noise can be heard and determining where the sound is coming from can help determining whether you can fix it yourself or if you need to arrange for a repair service. How loud the sound is and how long does the sound lasts, whether it is or isn't a not a continuous sound, how often it occur, is it affecting the proper operation of your refrigerator or is it just an occasional annoyance are all factors that can help you identify the source of the problem to help you to determine what you need to do to fix it. If the noise is inside the refrigerator, it could be the circulating fan. The fan’s purpose is to move the cool air from the freezer to your refrigerator and it can start to make different types of noises over time. Usually the circulating fan will need to be replaced. In some situations you can take the fan out clean it off and bend or straighten the blades to make the noise stop. Usually the noise is from the motor of the fan which is not fixable. You still are in warranty so you make arrangements for a repair service. If the noise is in the back of the refrigerator, it could be either the compressor or the condenser. he compressor contains a motor that sits in a sealed case. If it becomes faulty it can make high pitch noises. If your compressor is causing the noise, the compressor needs to be replaced so a repair service will be required. If you find that the condenser fan is making the noise you can clean it off from dirt and lint. A dirty condenser fan can cause the noise you are constantly hearing. It is located near the compressor and can’t be missed if you are behind your refrigerator looking for it. The instructions on cleaning the condenser can be found on page 45 of your owner's manual under the 'Troubleshooting' section. For that, you can use a vacuum cleaner with an attachment to clean the condenser cover and vents. Do not remove the panel covering the condenser coil area. If you can reach it, you can also give the fan a few drops of oil as it may just need oil to lubricate it to stop the noise. Repair Service arrangements can be made by Calling our Call Representatives at (800) 243-0000 or you can visit our site online to request a repair service at []...^IFV

LFXC24726 Glide n serve drawer

There was a spill from some juice onto the glide n serve drawer. Some of the juice seeped in between the silver trim and clear plastic assembly. There does not seem to be an easy way to disassemble the drawer to clean out the liquid that has now turned into an icky substance. Please tell me how to do this or what options I have. Thank you. picture attached.

We regret the trouble you have experienced with this refrigerator. It is suggested to remove the 3 crisper drawers above the Glide ‘N’ Serve drawer. Once removed, it will be easier to access the spill in the grooves for cleaning purposes.

Ice maker making and storage too slow and too low

The specification states ice storage capacity at 3 lbs. In the user manual, it states 12-16oz. We are encountering the latter. Which is right? At this time, the ice maker is useless, able to make and store two 12oz cups worth of ice at a time.
Asked by: awakeinla
I have not had this problem with the ice maker. I do notice the ice cubes are smaller than my previous ice maker but I empty the ice into the container in the freezer when it gets full so always have lots of ice on hand.

Does this model still have some of the design flaws mentioned by people that purchased it a year ago, or have they been addressed?

Many complaints on this fridge with regard to ice-maker leaking, freezing, etc. and other recurring issues. Also. reviews indicate a lack of food customer service in many cases. Positive reviews seem to be from people who have only had it a short time.

I have an "Er" under Refridgerator and an "IF" under Freezer codes on my control panel of my LFX31945ST. What does this mean?

Asked by: Abowles
The ER IF code is indicative of a problem with the Icemaker Fan or its motor. This can potentially be resolved by allowing the refrigerator to thaw for about 4 hours, and then reconnecting it. If it does not, then the unit will likely require service. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at

Will the side end of the door hit a wall if it is installed next to it or does the end swing into the refrigerator?

We are building a new home and the contractor ask me about the door. It will be installed next to a wall on one side. I have purchased the refrigerator but have not taken possession of it, as of now. Thanks.

Opening between cabinet are 36", can I buy a frifregerator that is 35 3/4 in wide? or do I need air space?

Asked by: pake
You always need to have spacing between the sides, top and the back of the unit so that the LG 24 cu.ft Ultra-Capacity 3 Door French Door Refrigerator, Model # LFXC24726S can get rid of the heat through its condenser coils. Refrigerators cool the air in them by taking the heat out of the air and if you don't give them enough air flow around them, you can drastically affect their cooling performance. The recommended spacing clearances for the sides, top and rear of the unit are sides 1/8", Top 1" and rear 1" so you have enough space to fit a 35 3/4" wide refrigerator...^IFV
