What People Are Saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fridge! I have owned this model LG fridge for almost a year. It has performed flawlessly. I am surprised that there are any negative reviews, as I have not experienced any of the problems described by other owners. I love the organization in the freezer compartment. As for the refrigerator section, there are two minor issues. The door shelves for condiments (left door) are two narrow for some containers, like peanut butter jars. And the produce storage consists of three smallish drawers, with the middle drawer almost too tiny to be useful. I wish the produce section had been designed as two capacious drawers. But those are minor issues, and I have adapted. Overall, I am very pleased with this LG refrigerator. And I love the counter-depth size. Keeps the refrigerator from dominating my petite kitchen.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Problem with frost buildup. This fridge has several design flaws. Frost builds up in the refrigerator compartment, which keeps the bottom drawer from closing all the way, and eventually keeps the door from closing completely. The door alarm does not sound if the door is only slightly open, causing the frost and ice to melt and run out on the floor and food spoilage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just the right size for the two of us Downsizing so we bought this counter-depth model. Excellent design, lighting is fantastic. Have to plan a little ahead as the icemaker doesn't hold a lot; but is perfect for the two of us as well as when the grandchildren come over. Lots of slide out drawers though a little cramped for large quantities; however its ability to handle the variety of foods we now buy outweighs any space issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best refrigerator we've ever owned! We were advised not to go with an LG refrigerator but after enjoying out LG washer and dryer, we had to at least consider it. We are s glad we did. This bright, beautiful and spacious refrigerator is wonderful in so many ways! Food stays fresher longer, great storage options, all so good!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Major problems Our fridge is less than a year old and in that time it has frozen up, the ice maker has been replaced and now the water pressure on the water dispenser has dramatically decreased. I'm guessing a bad valve, but we'll know when the repair folks get here. I have never owned a fridge that has failed so many times in such a short time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from If yours is icing up.... We bought this fridge for the capacity and were pleased until noticing produce and things in the bottom bin were freezing. Look in the back and there's a glacier building up. Turns out this is an error in the software that can be easily fixed by calling LG and having them come out.

Just bought this fridge. Isn't this refrigerator supposed to come with a freezer shelf that runs the length of the freezer door? The floor model had one.

Asked by: Mr freeze
We appreciate your interest in this refrigerator. The freezer does appear to have 3 bins available.

We are considering the LG LFXC24726S however the reviews on Amazon are horrible, all around Icing

We really had our hearts set on this fridge however reading the reviews on Amazon everyone seems to be having the same problem with Icing. Does LG plan on addressing this ?
Asked by: Irishguy
I've owned this model for almost a year.  No icing--in fact, no problems whatsoever.

How to turn off the light in an open refregirator

Asked by: AmiB
We appreciate your interest in this refrigerator. The interior lights appear to activate and deactivate by a door sensor, rather than by a trigger. As such, if the door is open, then the light will remain active.

Lights and whistles

Is there a way to stop the lights from going on inside the fridge and on the door when you open it?
Asked by: JenPro
Yes, place magnets on top of the door hinges.

so far no issues except the door swinging really far out. The pro is that if we have to put something really wide inside, the door opens far enough to clear. The con is that the door already has a creases dent.  Do you sell replacement doors?

Our 7 month old unit whined when brand new but the whine is getting louder and louder.  What is wrong and what can we do about it?  The noise is driving us nuts.

Asked by: dfhayes
We regret to read that your 7 month old ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 24 cu.ft Ultra-Capacity 3 Door French Door Refrigerator, Model # LFXC24726S has been making whining sounds since it was brand new and that the wining has gotten louder. That certainly is not a healthy sign. We apologize for any inconveniences that you may have experienced as a result. Refrigerators can be noisy (clicking, buzzing, humming, high pitched squeaks) and some sounds are just a normal process of refrigeration. Sometimes a refrigerator will develop a problem and a high pitched noise can be heard and determining where the sound is coming from can help determining whether you can fix it yourself or if you need to arrange for a repair service. How loud the sound is and how long does the sound lasts, whether it is or isn't a not a continuous sound, how often it occur, is it affecting the proper operation of your refrigerator or is it just an occasional annoyance are all factors that can help you identify the source of the problem to help you to determine what you need to do to fix it. If the noise is inside the refrigerator, it could be the circulating fan. The fan’s purpose is to move the cool air from the freezer to your refrigerator and it can start to make different types of noises over time. Usually the circulating fan will need to be replaced. In some situations you can take the fan out clean it off and bend or straighten the blades to make the noise stop. Usually the noise is from the motor of the fan which is not fixable. You still are in warranty so you make arrangements for a repair service. If the noise is in the back of the refrigerator, it could be either the compressor or the condenser. he compressor contains a motor that sits in a sealed case. If it becomes faulty it can make high pitch noises. If your compressor is causing the noise, the compressor needs to be replaced so a repair service will be required. If you find that the condenser fan is making the noise you can clean it off from dirt and lint. A dirty condenser fan can cause the noise you are constantly hearing. It is located near the compressor and can’t be missed if you are behind your refrigerator looking for it. The instructions on cleaning the condenser can be found on page 45 of your owner's manual under the 'Troubleshooting' section. For that, you can use a vacuum cleaner with an attachment to clean the condenser cover and vents. Do not remove the panel covering the condenser coil area. If you can reach it, you can also give the fan a few drops of oil as it may just need oil to lubricate it to stop the noise. Repair Service arrangements can be made by Calling our Call Representatives at (800) 243-0000 or you can visit our site online to request a repair service at []...^IFV

LFXC24726 Glide n serve drawer

There was a spill from some juice onto the glide n serve drawer. Some of the juice seeped in between the silver trim and clear plastic assembly. There does not seem to be an easy way to disassemble the drawer to clean out the liquid that has now turned into an icky substance. Please tell me how to do this or what options I have. Thank you. picture attached.
Asked by: NSTexas
We regret the trouble you have experienced with this refrigerator. It is suggested to remove the 3 crisper drawers above the Glide ‘N’ Serve drawer. Once removed, it will be easier to access the spill in the grooves for cleaning purposes.

Ice maker making and storage too slow and too low

The specification states ice storage capacity at 3 lbs. In the user manual, it states 12-16oz. We are encountering the latter. Which is right? At this time, the ice maker is useless, able to make and store two 12oz cups worth of ice at a time.
Asked by: awakeinla
I have not had this problem with the ice maker. I do notice the ice cubes are smaller than my previous ice maker but I empty the ice into the container in the freezer when it gets full so always have lots of ice on hand.
