What People Are Saying

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice design I went with LG because I read that it was an excellent product. I've had my appliances for 3 years now and have to say I'm not very satisfied with LG. The icemakers are loud when filling which is not a big deal really but after only 3 years the compressor went out. I called LG and they gave us the names of a few people in my area who were able to work on them which only one of the repairmen got back in touch with me after the Christmas holidays. I had one of them tell me that was a problem with LG refrigerators that the compressor goes out quickly. They finally came out and diagnosed that it was the compressor, had to order the part which there was a delay for whatever reason and then put us off 3 times to come do the repair. We have now been without our fridge for a month. So all that to say, a 3 year old refrigerator should not have gone out and the only people who can work on them are not very reliable. I will never own an LG appliance again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice size broke after year and a half Never buy LG their service department is awful my refrigerator broke three days before Christmas they couldn't find a company to fix my refrigerator I went on my own and found someone that excepts their warrantee. On a Thursday they said they will send over the work orders for the company to come fix it they did not now it is the following Thursday and when I call LG they still have you yet to send over the work order there for my appointment is now canceled and I have to wait another week two weeks two small babies and no refrigerator. No one speaks English and no one gets anything done with LG never ever ever bit LG. Also a friend of mine has exact same refrigerator and hers has been fixed twice and it's maybe 2 1/2 years old and she also had a wait months to get it fixed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from LEMON We bought this refrigerator 2 years ago. After 1 year the ice maker in the door went out. A year later the compressor went out and it was replaced 2 times. Now there is water pouring out of the door so we had to turn the water off and no longer have ice or water features. I do not know if we just got a lemon or if this refrigerator is a complete dud. I am waiting on LG or RC Willey to help me out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best refrigerator we have ever had We bought this refrigerator from Spencers in Glendale, AZ 10-29-16 to replace a 8-yr old GE frig that came with our winter house in Sun City Festival near Phoenix. We didn't like the old GE from the time we moved in. Researched and found the best resource was a nice lady at the Best Buy Store in Billings, MT. She handled returns, repairs, replacements etc. and said she had never seen an LG come back. She knew about the compressor and evaporator technology, etc. and said LG was the only one she knew of with that quality. She either had one at home or was about to buy one for herself. In the prior year we weren't comfortable leaving anything in the old GE frig so hauled it with us in a large cooler back to Montana - quite inconvenient. So when we got back to AZ in October 2016 we couldn't wait to go purchase our very own LG. We LOVE this model. Doors stay open when you want them to, very roomy and well lighted. We buy lots of veggies and fruits and they stay good for days. Stainless steel wipes clean of prints with a dish cloth from dishwater with a little Dawn. The only thing I'm not too crazy about is the funky water dispenser in the door...ice comes out fine but the water comes out above that and without a lot of light you can't see how much water is going into your glass. We are definitely going to buy LG for our next home in Montana. We LOVE LG ...bought LG tv earlier this year and love it, too. Thank you LG.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from One bad feature Had for one year. Good refrigerator except I really hate the three drawer fruit & vegetable bin design. You have to open both doors to get in the middle bin which lets cold air out. Sides to all bins taper in loosing storage space. Large items don't fit in like in a two drawer system. Very poor design and I hate it more every time that I have to rearrange things to make them fiti n or place them on the shelf above.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love options I love the sizes of the door shelves and the dual ice makers. The divided produce drawers. Very happy

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lots of features! This refrigerator works as it should. Build quality is all that I expected. Love the styling, it looks like high end. And I like the dual icemakers, not many fridges have this. We go through a lot of ice and it keeps up with our needs. Interior LED lighting is excellent and makes finding things easier than with previous brands I've owned. This is our first French Door refrigerator and the wife loves it. I'm still getting used to it. The freezer has gobs of room NS everyone likes that. Only complaint is that the refrigerator set temperature reads 10° higher than the thermometer I placed inside it. So it has to be set at 43° to keep the contents from freezing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great refridgerator We bought this a few week's ago and have really enjoyed it so far. The dual ice makers make tons of ice, the controls are easy to use, and the lighting is beautiful. Storage is well thought out and useful. They finally replaced the ice and water paddles on the door with plastic so they don't scratch. My favorite feature is the ability to turn off the door alarm so it doesn't yell at me when I'm putting away groceries.

How does ice plus work

Asked by: Moose 133630
ICE PLUS enables the freezer compartment to run at its coldest setting for a 24 hour period in order to increase the output of ice. This makes the compressor operate nonstop for three hours and increases ice production by up to 20%. ^AC

How come our refrigerator isn't making ice very quickly, in bother the freezer and side door? Also, we have an IO water filter and the water doesn't come out very well. Do we need to remove the filter?

Asked by: Sharyn63
The water pressure must be between 20 and 120psi. If a reverse osmosis water filtration system is connected to your cold water supply, then the water pressure to the system will need to me a minimum of 40-60psi. Additional specifications and suggestions for this matter can be viewed on page 21 of the owner’s manual.

We had this refrigerator installed Sat. The draw in the freezer has ice crystals forming on it (noticed this immediately) Is this normal? This AM noticed that the ice in the freezer ice tray was partially melted. Any idea what may have caused this?

Asked by: Emom
We regret the trouble you have experienced with this refrigerator. It is not normal for frost to develop immediately. Such can develop if there is an air leak in the compartment. This could also explain the defrosting. Check for anything which might prevent a solid seal on the door. For additional suggestions, please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000.

Recently replaced LG filter after noticeably slow flow of water was dispencing. Since changing the filter out, there has been a solid block of ice that has formed behind the fridge ice machine back panel. There appears to be a leak somewhere.

I notice last nite that it appears the lights inside never go out, is this normal? And it's warm on outside. where lights are located

Asked by: Billyboy1
We regret the trouble you have experienced with this refrigerator. The lights should go out whenever the doors have been closed. At the same time, however, the lights will turn on as soon as the door opens, so it is difficult to determine when the lights are extinguished. If the interior heats up from the interior lights, then the refrigerator will require service. To make service arrangements, you may either contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000, or you can check our Repair Provider Lookup on our website, at http://www.lg.com/us/support/repair/support-repair-provider-lookup.jsp.
