TROUBLESHOOT YOUR WASHER

If you run into a problem with your LG washer, our latest technology can help you solve it quickly and painlessly. You can either use the Smart Diagnosis™ feature on your LG Smart Laundry app or contact an LG representative who'll help you use this feature over the phone. Or you can select the NFC Tag On* function on your app and then select NFC Tag On Diagnosis.

*Available on select models. NFC Tag On can only be used with smartphones that have the Android operating system and are equipped with the NFC (Near Field Communication) function.

Smart Diagnosis*

You can diagnose your washer's problem with Smart Diagnosis™ technology. It records and analyzes the special tones emitted by your washer and provides you with troubleshooting steps. You can also contact us for some help with the process.

SMART DIAGNOSIS™ STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE:

  1. Open the Smart Laundry app on your phone and select Smart Diagnosis™.
  2. Press the POWER to turn on the washer.
  3. Place the mouthpiece of your phone very close to the POWER button.
  4. Press and hold the WASH/RINSE key for three seconds, while holding the phone mouthpiece to the icon or POWER button.
  5. Keep the phone in place until the tone transmission has finished. This takes about 3 seconds, and the display will count down the time.
  6. Follow the trouble shooting guide displayed by the Smart Diagnosis™.

SMART DIAGNOSIS™ OVER THE PHONE:

  1. Contact LG Customer Service at 1-800-243-0000 (1-888-542-2623 in Canada).
  2. When prompted, press the POWER to turn on the washer.
  3. When prompted, place the mouthpiece of your phone very close to the POWER button.
  4. Press and hold the WASH/RINSE key for three seconds, while holding the phone mouthpiece to the icon or POWER button.
  5. Keep the phone in place until the tone transmission has finished. This takes about 3 seconds, and the display will count down the time.
  6. Once the countdown is over and the tones have stopped, resume your conversation with the LG Support Representative, who will then be able to assist you using the information transmitted for analysis at the call center.

NFC TAG ON DIAGNOSIS*

You can also use the NFC Tag On feature to easily diagnose a problem with LG's Smart Diagnosis™ technology. You'll then be able to follow step-by-step instructions to resolve the issue or you can call LG Customer Service with the push of a button.

DOWNLOAD CUSTOM CYCLES*

Want more cycles? No problem! The NFC Tag On feature allows you to select one of many additional cycles and download it directly to your washer. You'll then be able to easily access it by turning the cycle selector knob on your control panel to the Download Cycle option. It will be available there until you download another cycle.

ACCESS YOUR LAUNDRY STATS*

The NFC Tag On Laundry Stat feature is true to its name: it can tell you the details of the last 10 cycles you used. Plus, it helps with washer maintenance by letting you know when you need to run the next Tub Clean cycle.
