What People Are Saying

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 78 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good product to recommend I agree all the good things of this TV to other reviews. I write a few things I don't like: 1. This TV has a web browser. It's great. However, this browser doesn't support Flash from Adobe. 2. I can see a gap between panel and panel frame. August 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by This product is great. Great picture This product has great features and great pictures. i highly recommend this to everyone. August 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Product Overall very satisfied with this television and it's features. Was very easy to set up and easy to adjust to my preferences. August 2, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent quality with many great features. I have had this LG 43LB6300 smart TV for two months now and like it very much. The setup of it was very easy and I am very satisfied with the original color settings. This TV's remote control functions as a on-screen pointer is definitely a winner for ease of use. The build-in web browser is very ease to navigate. The only thing I don't like is that this TV doesn't support flash format video playback that greatly hinders the usefulness of the otherwise perfect build-in web browser. I strongly urge LG to add the flash video support through software upgrade in the future. July 28, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by easy set up and operation, would purchase again. Easy set up for the technical challened user. Price and value excellant. July 23, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great TV Clear Picture Got this TV as fathers day gift great picture, clear picture easy to use and set up. Need more apps though like Funimation etc. Only problem I have seen is if we pause a movie in netflix etc the external soundbar quits working and we have to turn on the sound back to the tv and then back to the soundbar to get it working again. Other then that great tv. July 21, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best tv on the market, bar none If you want the best smart tv, buy this one. It is smart, very smart! July 20, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great picture easy access to apps Like this tv easy to use. Only issues 1. Must turn off tv speakers to use external sound ie, sound bar and 2. Can't figure out how to use clear voice option, tried everything. The kids love the magic remote too. July 19, 2014

We appreciate your interest in this television. This TV does not have any 3D capabilities. This button on the remote control simply shows that this controller is compatible with more than one type of television. The 3D button will not have a use on this TV.

What's the best way to connect the TV to the sounbar HDMI or Optical port?

Answer:
If you are connecting from a television output to a soundbar I would use the Optical Output because this carries sound at a high digital quality and there is no need to send video to a soundbar. Hope this helps you, there is several cable brands and some perform better than others. If using in a bedroom I normally go with a $20-30 cable if it is main system I spend more.

Answer:
Thank you for your interest in connecting your 42" 1080p 120Hz LG HDTV Model # 42LB6300.
The Digital Optical port (or Toslink) and HDMI both will give uncompressed digital 5.1 audio, so it really is a matter of choice and which cable you have available. HDMI is the new kid on the block in this case and may be the more ubiquitous and easier cable to connect so use that. Don't forget to go into your TV's menu and make sure that you have the sound set to go to either PCM or however they have it labeled...IFV

There are a range of settings that affects the picture brightness and quality. The brightness is fine fore me and look and feel of the picture can be adjusted to suit your preference.

Answer:
There is no unit of measure for brightness on TVs. All TVs will have a brighter setting like "vivid" or "dynamic". They just turn the backlighting to its highest setting. Although a brighter tv may look great, some TVs will wash away detail. It's not always recommended to have the backlight at its highest setting. I own this tv and it's "vivid" setting is more than needed for a great picture..

Answer:
We appreciate your interest in this television. The most conventional means of placing this TV on a stand would be by installing it on the base for which it was intended. We cannot recommend the use of any other type of base stand. The only other recommended option is a VESA Compliant wall mount, using a 400mm x 400mm bolt spacing.
