What People Are Saying

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 136 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Crisp, clear picture; good sound; great features This was a replacement TV for a 47" LCD. The difference in picture quality was amazing. We're looking forward to checking out all the SMART TV features and connecting the LG Sound Bar we just purchased. May 26, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best TV ive ever owned Its very user friendly. Has all the options I was looking for.As easy to use as a phone April 19, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love the apps If you are looking for great features in a TV look no further. Great price, nice picture, great apps. I especially love that you can sync other devices i.e. cell phone to the TV in order to control the apps. With all of the apps this TV offers who needs cable! This TV is so user friendly that even my 3 year old loves it. The only downside is using the remote to access the internet it doesn't move as fast as I do. But they do offer a smart remote. Rated 5 out of 5 by user friendly beautiful picture awesome tv!!!! Had this bad boy setup and ready to rock in very little time. Great picture. Wifi was a breeze to setup. And features are great. I use dish network and the picture quality is great. The streaming video works flawlessly. Im actually so impressed with the load times on the video im gonna ditch my dish and just use 3 of the streaming services to save money. The available apps are impressive and growing. Extremely easy to update. Does it automatically. Would recommend this tv to everyone I know. May 17, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Ease of set-up Even a technically challenge person like I could get it going. Great picture and I love the "smart" features. April 28, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by great tv and I like the size not overly large It has been great ! The hd tv has changed the way we watch tv. is there an activation code for this device to register with Netflix?

I don't want to have to type in email address and password with my remote and virtual keyboard screen every time I use Netflix with my 50LN5600. when I logged into Netflix account online, I can see that there is a place to enter an activation code for a new device. What is that code for my 50LN5600, and will that keep me logged in?

Answer:
You shouldn't have to enter your Netflix account information each time you login. My account information saved automatically the first time I logged in and I am automatically directed there unless I click to log out of that account.

Answer:
An activation code is typically in place to authorize a particular device to receive a Netflix signal. If you are on a DYNAMIC IP Address, then deactivating the TV will lose the address to another device that could take its place, requiring the TV to log in through another IP Address, and in turn, requiring the service to log in again. The only option we might suggest would be to have this unit connected via a STATIC IP Address. Please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000 for additional questions.

Answer:
All LG Smart TV's actually come with the Amazon Instant Streaming app. When I look at my TV (50LN5600) there are tons of apps, but the ones labeled under Premium apps are Netflix, hulu Plus, VUDU, YouTube, CinemaNow, MGO, Amazon, Skype. There are other app categories as well. One other category is called the LG Smart World apps. Under this app I have Pandora (internet radio), Golf Lesson (World Greatest Teachers), LG Product Registration, Showtime Preview, Fredio, AMEX NOW, Target Ticket (from Target stores), and Skylanders. There are other app categories, but I won't overload you. Hope this helps to give you an idea.

Answer:
Thank you for answering my question…However I did ask Netflix this question and there response was they are working Day and Night to program all Tvs to the the ability to choose a user…and less than a week after I installed my new LG TV…The issue had been resolved. We can now choose a Netflix user!! Making it so delightful for all family members to use the same tv.

I apologize, but no; the Netflix application that has been developed for these televisions, does not have the capability to distinguish between multiple users. It can only recognize the subscription account as a whole.
