What People Are Saying

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 87 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by great buy does all as advertised, easy to use remotes. picture could be a little sharper. overall best television i have owned.love lg products June 8, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 Great TV This tv has a great picture the remote is easy to use April 12, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Better than I expected I bought this Smart TV for our family on Christmas. We have a digital antenna for our TV source (no cable, no satellite) and the reception was exceptional! We also have wireless internet at home and was amazed with everything from web browsing to email to youtube. But what really threw me was when I had a avi video on my thumb drive and all I did was plug it in and the Smart TV was able to play my movie - WOW! April 12, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Product This TV actually plays better than some of the higher price sets. The clarity, viewing angle and the glare are better on this set. It is a no brainer for the price and picture quality. This is the best deal! May 18, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazing picture This is by far the best TV picture I've ever had, the HD is incredible, and the price was very affordable. March 25, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by good TV for the money I purchased this TV about 2 months ago. The picture quality is great the TV functions are what you would expect on a TV of that age and the inputs are well thought out. the magic remote is a breeze to use. the cons: the smart software has recently been problematic with my dlna server, not recognizing it after the last firmware update. I've read that these TVs were also using "call home" features sending user data over the network, but apparently the new firmwares have this disabled due to customer complaints. overall, the TV hardware is great, the colours are vivid, lots of input options. the software that comes bundled with it is not that great and I would recommend using a dedicated device for smart capabilities. Rated 5 out of 5 by This product is worth every penny! This is by far the best television I have ever owned. It cannot get any better than this! The price I paid was very affordable and I had no buyer's remorse. So for me... no regrets. Everything we watch including old movies look HD. The controls are real simple and easy to use. The quality is great especially at the price I paid. Its amazing what this TV can do! WAY TO GO LG! April 23, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great tv, great price! This tv does everything we want, and was a great bargain as well. It was easy to set up and has performed flawlessly. Features are easily accessed, and sound and picture are easily customized. Magic remote is easy to use once you get used to it. We did a lot of research before deciding on this tv, and it has proven to be the right choice. April 21, 2014

how do I turn off the "soap opera" effect

Many new TVs have a feature where it does not look like tv - it looks like actors moving in front of a stactic set. It looks like how soap operas are shot. How do I turn this off (or is it a feature for all TVs these days)?

Answer:
We appreciate your interest in this television. Not all televisions have the “Soap Opera” effect you have mentioned. The 50LN5750 model television does have the TruMotion feature, that can potentially display such an appearance; however, it is set from the factory on its low setting to provide the image transition improvement, without as much of the “Soap Opera” effect. There are no settings to adjust this feature, as they are activated and locked at the factory.

Answer:
This television has been designed with a 1080p / 120Hz screen. If the display is stating 60Hz, this is simply stating the format and resolution being received from the signal source. The screen will still be processing the image at 120Hz and 1080p.

Answer:
We appreciate your interest in this television. The “best” setting for the picture is that which best fits your personal preferences. As such we cannot recommend a particular setting. You might utilize the PICTURE WIZARD II feature to configure the appearance of the screen.

I apologize, but no; we do not have any listings available for compatible wireless keyboards. This unit has been designed for operation with most standard USB keyboards. We cannot guarantee operation of any wireless keyboards.
