Why does this seem pixelated?

Just purchased this tv today (55lb5900). I am watching football on it and it seems the player are a bit pixelated or blurry, what settings do I need to change? Is this in fact a 120hz TV?

Answer:
Yes it is 120hz TV. They are pixelated because of the source of the video. The game needs to be transmitted at full 1080p HD or it will look pixelated with out an HD box.

Answer:
We appreciate your interest in this television. The specifications for this television do not list it as a 120Hz television, but rather list a Motion Clarity Index of 240. This is not necessarily a direct correlation to the refresh rate of the screen. How close to the screen do you sit? The optimal viewing distance for a 55” television is a minimum of 13 3/4 feet from the screen. Any closer to the screen will make it easier to notice the natural shape of pixels that is inherent to all LCD panels. If this does not appear to be the case, then please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000 to troubleshoot the matter further.

It sounds like it is turning off and on when the screen goes black for a split second...between commercials, dvd gaps, wii intro screen anything that sends a black screen to it, then it clicks like it is turning off and on again very quickly?

If figured it out but only after having LG customer service, Best Buy and the store i bought it from tell me it was defective and exchanging it for a new one that did the exact same thing. What is was was a setting i forget what it is called, if you switch it off then the clicking stops, maybe its called dynamic contrast? if you read through reviews on amazon you will find it buried in the many reviews

Answer:
Clicking noise might be caused by a loose cable. Check all your cables. I had RCA hooked up to my old sound bar and it made crackling sound because one of the RCA was unplugged.

Answering my own question here, after a trip to 2 stores and looking at other LG HDTVS in and outside of the LB5900 series and talking to seemingly knowledgeable sales people, the answer is no, the store i bought it at told me to bring it back for exchange. I forgot to mention that this condition appeared from day one when i plugged in out of the box, must have been defective right from the factory.

Answer:
The cord can be hidden with a cord bracket that comes with the TV. This bracket can be attached to the legs and you can make the cord run on the leg. You get two brackets.

The distance between the feet is 50 inches and the width of the feet themselves are less the 12 inches. This is for the LG 55LB5900.

Answer:
We appreciate your interest in this television. This TV is designed to be able to provide Dolby 5.1 Audio through the OPTICAL Digital Audio Output jack. While a direct connection from the DVR to the Sound Bar is possible, only the audio from that device would make the connection. If any other devices, such as a DVD player are connected, they would be only through the TV speakers, unless the audio connection was made from the TV to the Audio System.
