The monitor is powered up, but the screen is blank?
Causes
- The DC switch of the monitor is off.
- The monitor is in power saving mode.
If the power lamp of the monitor is lit in red, then it means that the monitor is powered up.
If the model of your monitor has a DC switch, then check if it is turned on.
If the monitor power lamp is blinking, then move the cursor or press a key on the keyboard to disable the
power saving mode.
Try this
Does your monitor have a DC switch in it?
→ If it does, then before turning on the power, make sure to turn on the DC switch at the back of the monitor.
You can download the product user manual from the homepage of LG Electronics.
Is the monitor power lamp flickering?
→ If the monitor is in power saving mode, then move the cursor or press any key on the keyboard.
If the [Power Lamp] setting of the monitor is set to [Power Saving] then the power lamp will blink.
If you activate [Auto Off Setting], then in case of no movement for some time, the monitor will be
automatically turned off.
Press the input device for an external equipment or PC connected to the PC.
If the power saving mode is not disabled even after moving the cursor or pressing a key on the keyboard, then use another cable for a connection.
After the above remedies, there is still nothing on the screen?
→ Press the Joystick button below the monitor to check if the setting menu appears on the screen.
If you can see the setting menu on the monitor, then the monitor is ok.
Check the PC or external device spec or setting.
If the power is on, but the Setting menu does not appear on the screen, then have it inspected by an LG
Electronics technician.
