[LG OLED TV screen] I am using a set-top box, and the screen and sound is not working

Causes and Symptoms

  • I am watching TV using a set-top box, and the screen and sound is not working.

When an issue occurs with the set-top box or the communication lines, sound and screen may not work.
In this case, reset the set-top box to solve the issue.
If the TV input status, such as channel or HDMI, does not appear as shown below when power is turned on, an accurate diagnosis by the service manager may be required.

Is there nothing on the TV screen?

➔ When you turn on the TV and press the [Home] button or the [Volume] button on the TV remote control, check whether the menu or sound display on the screen looks normal.

If you see a menu on the screen, reset the set-top box, turn the set-top box on again, and then check the TV screen.

※ Set-top box remote control and TV remote control each has a different use.
If the screen does not appear, please check using the TV remote control.

1. Turn off your TV using the remote control.

2. Turn off the power switch on the back of the set-top box, wait for 5 seconds, and turn it on again.

3. For models with no power switch, remove the power cable and wait 5 seconds before reconnecting it.

4. If the power light on the set-top box flickers and lights again, the reset is complete.
The reset method may differ by set-top box model provided by the mobile carrier.
