LG Side-by-Side refrigerator - is not cooling

Troubleshooting

LG Side-by-Side refrigerator is not cooling

Try This:

    1. Check the Power Supply : Ensure that the refrigerator is plugged in and that the outlet is functioning. You can test the outlet with another device.

    2. Temperature Settings : Verify that the temperature settings are correctly set. The recommended temperature for the refrigerator is around 37°F (3°C) and for the freezer, around 0°F (-18°C).

    3. Condenser Coils : Inspect the condenser coils for dust and debris. Dirty coils can affect cooling efficiency. Clean them gently with a vacuum or a brush.

    4. Door Seals : Check the door seals for any gaps or damage. If the seals are not airtight, cold air can escape, leading to cooling issues.

    5. Airflow : Ensure that there is adequate airflow inside the refrigerator. Avoid overloading it and make sure vents are not blocked by food items.

    6. Defrosting : If there is excessive frost buildup in the freezer, it may be affecting the cooling. You may need to defrost the unit.

    7. Compressor and Fan : Listen for the sound of the compressor and the fan. If they are not running, there may be an issue with the compressor or the fan motor.

    8. Error Codes : Check for any error codes displayed on the control panel.
