Traces of foreign substances (soup, water, tar, etc.) around the sparking area may cause ignition to fail with no sparking sound resulting.
If internal cables are shorted or contacts are abnormal, some burners will not make sparks, so there will be no sparking sound.
If this problem persists after cleaning, call LGE Service for an inspection.
Try this
Scrub pointed areas using a dry toothbrush to remove food remains and other substances and retry ignition.
Remove contaminants from the sparking plug and the heat sensing rod using a dry toothbrush.
Wash off contaminants from the burner cap and the burner head, and dry and reinstall them.
