[LG electric range] Heating (output) is weak. The dual burner function is not available

Troubleshooting

Causes and Symptoms

  • If the temperature of the cooktop is high
  • If all burners in the electric range are operating

If the output seems weak

The electric range has an On/Off function that automatically adjusts the temperature to prevent glass from breaking at high temperatures.
When the product reaches a high temperature, it turns on/off over a set period of time automatically adjusting the output of heat, but the temperature of the glass surface is maintained at the set temperature, so, the heat level does not actually decrease.
The time to reach a high temperature and the On/Off cycle may vary depending on the container used, particular food and the output.

When the high temperature is reached, it turns on/off according to a certain period of time and automatically adjusts the output.

If the dual burner function is not available

When all burners of the electric range are operating, the dual expansion function is restricted in order not to exceed the maximum power consumption permitted in general household systems.
The dual extension function can be used only when it is used by itself or when two or less burners are being used.
