[LG washing machine fabric softener] Fabric softener cannot be added or is added early.

Troubleshooting

If the fabric softener cannot be added

If the viscosity of the fabric softener becomes too high, it may not be added smoothly.
If the fabric softener has been left in the detergent dispenser too long, it may have hardened and may not be added.

When it is added early

If fabric softener has been added over the MAX line, if the water pressure is too strong, or if you close the detergent dispenser forcibly, the fabric softener may be added early.

Try this

If the fabric softener cannot be added

➔ If you add fabric softener and leave it for more than 2 days, it may become more viscous or harden.

Do not leave fabric softener in the detergent dispenser for more than 2 days.

➔ Clean the detergent dispenser periodically.

Water may not be supplied to the detergent dispenser smoothly due to detergent residue, etc., so each part should be separated and cleaned periodically.
If not, a water leak may occur.
When cleaning, wash using a soft brush, tower and lukewarm water.

How to clean the detergent dispenser
1. Pull it forward while pressing the fabric softener cap lightly.
2. Clean the detergent dispenser and the inside of the place where the detergent dispenser is placed using a toothbrush, and then reinsert the detergent dispenser.
Clean the detergent dispenser weekly.
Warning!

If the fabric softener cap is not properly reassembled after cleaning the detergent dispenser, residual water may remain.
After cleaning, press and assemble the cap completely.

When it is added early

➔ When the level of fabric softener exceeds the MAX line, it will be added early.

Add fabric softener below the MAX line indicated in the place to add fabric softener [place shown in blue when you open the detergent dispenser].

➔ Check the water pressure.

If the water pressure is too strong, water may overflow toward the fabric softener, causing it to be added early.
If the water pressure is too strong, close the faucet slightly.

➔ Close the detergent dispenser gently.

If fabric softener sloshes due to the impact of closing the detergent dispenser, the softener may be added immediately.
