[LG Washing Machine] Troubleshooting Laundry Detergent Residue

Troubleshooting

This guide was created for all models, so the images or content may be different from your product.

Let's find out more.

If you use too much detergent, or if the detergent is clumped or hardened, it may not dissolve completely, leaving streaks or detergent residue on your clothes.
Using cold water can also prevent the detergent from dissolving completely, which can leave residue on your laundry.
Detergent residue can remain on bulky items like blankets.

Try this.

Use HE (High Efficiency) detergent specifically designed for front-load washers, and follow the dosage instructions on the detergent packaging.
Detergent dissolves best in warm water (30-40°C), so use warm water instead of cold water.
Unlike regular laundry, blankets are bulky, and powdered detergent may not dissolve completely and can remain on the fabric.
We recommend using liquid detergent for washing blankets.
If you use powdered detergent, dissolve it completely in warm water before adding it to the washer.

Incorrect example: Too much detergent added, exceeding the maximum fill line. Correct example: The correct amount of detergent added, reaching the maximum fill line.
