8kg/9kg dryers allow you to open the door while it is running.
This is designed to allow a child to kick the door and get out of the product if trapped inside the product.
Opening the door will display a dE error and stop the machine, but the drum will make about 2 more turns before it stops due to the inertia of the motor that turns the drum. This is normal and not a product defect.
If, however, the drum keeps rotating even after you have opened the door, there may be a problem with your machine. Call the LG service technician for an inspection.
