The reason why the screen does not display the time but -:-- when you select the dryer cycle and press Start is that smart weighing is operating.
What is smart weighing?
Smart weighing automatically detects the load of your laundry in the dryer and tells you how long drying will take.
Smart weighing applies to the following cycles and when it is used, the screen displays -:-- and the drum repeats start/pause for 1 minute.
In cycles other than weighing, start/pause repeats for 1 minute to untangle your laundry. (Applicable to 14kg models only)
When smart weighing is used, the actual drying time may differ from the estimated time by 1 hour depending on the types of laundry, operating environment, and the degree of dehydration. This is similar to the car navigation system that tells you an updated and changed route while driving. The drying time may be updated when it detects changes in the above factors.
