[LG Robot Vacuum R9] My Robot Vacuum Keeps Spinning in Place or Only Goes Backward

Troubleshooting

Try this.

Clean the sensor window using a cotton swab or soft cloth.
Press the left, right, and front sides of the nozzle 3 to 5 times, then turn the unit off and back on.
Run the Smart Diagnosis function on the robot vacuum.
If the Smart Diagnosis provides one of the following voice message, follow the instructions in the message.


Voice Alert

  • “Please wipe the cliff detection sensors.”
  • “Please wipe the obstacle detection sensor window.”

1. Place a soft cloth on the floor and turn the robot vacuum upside down


Cleaning the sensors around the nozzle and wiping the camera area.

2. Clean the robot vacuum's sensors using a cotton swab or soft cloth before
Voice Alert: “A problem has been detected with the bumper sensor.”
(Perform this step if you hear the following voice alert)


Pressing the left and right sides of the nozzle and then restarting the unit.

3. Press the left, right, and front sides of the nozzle 3 to 5 times, then turn the unit off and back on.

Do not clean the product with volatile or organic solvents (e.g., thinner, solvent, acetone). This may cause product damage.
