Causes and Symptoms
- What are the differences between the induction and highlight burners?
- The highlight burner turns on and off repeatedly.
- I place an induction pot on the burner, but it won't be heated.

Differences between the induction and highlight burners
➔ Due to a difference in the heating method, the actual heating power of the highlight burner is weaker than that of the induction burner, with the heating power varying across models.
The induction burner uses a magnetic field to directly heat the container with high efficiency, and the burner size is large, so the fire power is strong.
However, the highlight heats up the container at a low efficiency by maintaining the top plate at a constant temperature, and its burner size is also smaller than that of the induction, so its heating power is weaker.
This means that the highlight and the induction burners have different heating powers due to the different heating methods and burner sizes.
Does the burner turn off and on repeatedly while using the highlight?
➔ Highlight burner's heating method maintains the temperature of the top plate without reducing the heating power even when the burner is turned off.
If the temperature of the top plate rises after using the highlight burner for a long time, the burner is automatically turned off to maintain the heat value.
When the heating power level is set to 9, the burner does not turn off for about 30 minutes so as to maintain the heat value.
However, if the temperature of the top plate is already high, the burner may turn off even if you use level 9.
If you need greater heating power, use the dual function.
If you select the large burner and press the [Dual] button, the red light will turn on and the size of the large burner will increase.
If you operate the remaining burner while using the dual function with the small burner or the medium burner and the large burner together, the dual function will be cancelled automatically.
Please note that the dual function of the highlight burners can only be used on 3-burner products with the model name [BER3G*].
Does the burner not operate or is the container not heated well when using the induction burner?
➔ Use a container designed specifically for induction or a container that can be used on an induction electric range.
If a container which is not suitable for induction is used, [U] will be displayed and the burner will not operate properly.
Use an exclusive induction container with an IH or coil shaped mark on its base or an appropriate container according to the following information.
If a container which has been used effectively previously is not being heated effectively, it may be cracked or there may be a lot of foreign objects on its bottom surface, so check it.
If you have purchased a new container, it is better to check first if the container can be heated effectively well before starting cooking.
