Due to Windows setting of wireless network, wireless LAN driver errors or wireless LAN router problems, the internet connection might fail.
</p>

<h2 class="tit">Causes and Symptoms</h2>

<li>In Windows, internet connection is failed due to issues in the wireless network(Wi-Fi activation, airplane mode) settings.</li>

<li>In device manager, check if the wireless LAN driver is “Disabled” or has an “exclamation mark”.</li>

<li>If there is no wireless LAN signal or no Wi-FI icon, then delete the wireless LAN driver and install it again.</li>

<li>Due to the absence of wireless signals for the wireless router, the internet fails.</li>
</ul>

<h3 class="sub-tit">Check the condition of the network in Windows.</h3>
<p class="txt-idt">
1. 2. If the [Wi-Fi] item is set to [Off], then switch it to [On].
</p><p class="txt-idt">
3. If the [Airplane Mode] item is set to [On], then switch it to [Off].
</p>

<li>Select Windows 11 → [Setting] &gt; [Network &amp; Internet] &gt; [Get Help] to run [Run troubleshooter] to check the network status.</li>

<li>Select Windows 10 → [Setting] &gt; [Network &amp; Internet] &gt; [Run troubleshooter] to check the network status.</li>

<li>Select Windows 7, 8, 8.1 → [Control panel] &gt; [Network and Internet] &gt; [Network and Sharing Center] &gt; [Troubleshooter] to check the network status.</li>

4. If you proceed with [Network reset] then the network adapter will be deleted and installed again.
</p>

<li>In Windows 11 → [Setting] &gt; [Network &amp; Internet] &gt; [Advanced Network Settings] &gt; [Network reset], select [Reset now] to proceed with network initialization and restart the PC.</li>
</ul>

<li>In Windows 10 → [Setting] &gt; [Network &amp; Internet] &gt; [Network reset], select [Reset now] to proceed with network initialization and restart the PC.</li>
</ul>
<p>※ After restarting it, reinput the existing password to the wireless router and see if a connection is set up properly.</p>

<h3 class="sub-tit">In device manager, check the status of wireless LAN driver.</h3>
<p class="txt-idt">
1. In [ <img style="width: 24px; vertical-align: bottom;" alt="start" src="https://gscs.lge.com:/gscs/support/fileupload/downloadFile.do?fileId=AoOL6jeTkcS9kbIWxbGUQ&amp;portalId=P1"/> Start] of the task bar, right click with the mouse button to run [Device Manager].
</p><p class="txt-idt">
2. If there is a downward arrow [ <img style="width: 24px; vertical-align: bottom;" alt="Network Adapters" src="https://gscs.lge.com:/gscs/support/fileupload/downloadFile.do?fileId=Q4MKmzERAYIlqKb9tPYA&amp;portalId=P1"/> ] in the [Network Adapters] item, then right click with the mouse on [ Intel(R) Wi-Fi .... (Wireless LAN Device)].

3. If [Enable Device] is selected, then the downward arrow will be displayed.
</p>    <p>※ If the wireless internet fails despite [Enable Device] settings, then delete and reinstall the wireless LAN driver.</p>

4. In case that wireless device(Wi-Fi) in [Device Manager] has an exclamation mark [ ! ] then it might be an error in the wireless LAN driver, damage to the Windows OS, or issue with wireless LAN hardware.
</p>    <p>※ After selecting a wireless LAN device, right click with the mouse button on &gt; [Delete Device].</p>

5. After deleting [Wireless LAN Driver], [Restart] Windows.
</p>    <p>※ If the wireless internet still fails after restarting Windows, then install the latest version of wireless LAN driver.</p>

6. Enter the model name in how to download the latest wireless LAN driver – [LG Electronics Homepage] &gt; [Customer Supports] &gt; [Driver S/W].
</p>

<li>After selecting [Select Operating System(OS)], download the wireless LAN driver and install it.</li>
</ul>

<h3 class="sub-tit">Disconnect power supplies from the modem and the wireless/wired router and connect them again.</h3>
<p class="txt-idt">
1. After disconnecting the power supply adapter, wait for about 20 seconds and connect the power supply.
</p>    <p>※ Depending on the type of service provider you are subscribed to, the modem and wireless/wired router shapes can differ from the below figures.</p>
