Instant Booting allows your laptop to start automatically when you open the lid, so you
don’t need to press the power button.
Depending on your model and release date, you can turn this feature on or off in the My
gram, LG Smart Assistant, or LG Control Center app.
Is Instant Booting not working? Check the following.
- Check that [Instant Booting] is set to [ON] in the settings app.
- Make sure your laptop model supports [Instant Booting].
How do I set up Instant Booting?
Enabling Instant Booting in the My gram
- 1. Type [My gram] in the taskbar search box and launch the app.
- 2. On the Home screen, in [Quick Setting] on the right, find [Instant Booting].
- 3. Toggle [Instant Booting] to [ON].
Enabling Instant Booting in the LG Smart Assistant app
- 1. Type [LG Smart Assistant] in the taskbar search box and launch the app.
- 2. In the [Quick Setting] menu, toggle [Instant Booting] to [ON].
Enabling Instant Booting in the LG Control Center
- 1. Type [LG Control Center] in the taskbar search box and open the app.

2. Find [Instant Booting] and toggle it to [ON].
Note: Depending on the model, [Instant Booting] may be located under [System Setting].
What to Do If the App Is Missing or Not Working

If the app was removed after reinstalling Windows, you can reinstall it using [LG
Update].
On the LG Electronics website, go to [Support > Software] or [Download >], search for your model, then download and install [LG Update].
For Non-OS desktops or laptops (shipped without Windows), install the app using the file provided in the separate partition or download it from the LG Electronics website (Drivers/Downloads). -
This feature is available only on supported models.
If the feature does not work even after setup, it may be a temporary system error. Restart your PC and try again.
If the issue persists, contact LG Electronics Customer Support for service.
