Did you use the air conditioner for the first time since a long ago?
If you use it again after a long dormancy, then during the early phase of operation, dusts smells in the
products can temporarily occur or temporary spicy or burning smells can be generated due to the restart of
the system that has not been used for a long time.
Open the window and ventilate the air for some time before use.
Check if the power cord is correctly inserted into the outlet.
If the power cord is loose, then the power cord or outlet can generate heats or cause burning smells.
Plug in the power cord accurately one more time.
Do you use a power strip?
Check if the power strip is old or it has sufficient capacity.
Avoid using a power strip.
Plug the power cord directly into wall outlet.
The air conditioner may be turned off during use if the capacity of power strip is small and multiple
products are plugged into a same power strip.
When using a power strip, plug the air conditioner alone into power strip with minimum 20A [amperes] rate
dedicated for air conditioner.
Use the wire with thickness of 2.5mm(0.1in)/current of 16A[Ampere] and voltage of 250V[Volts] or higher.
Is the ventilation lever opened?
If the air ventilation lever is opened, then smell of the outdoor unit can travel to the indoor through the air ventilation lever.
