If your LG dehumidifier's "Bucket Full" light does not turn off even after you have emptied the water bucket, the float inside the bucket is likely stuck.
Gently shaking the water tank to free the sensor usually resolves this issue.
How to Fix a Stuck Float
Follow these steps to free the float
- 1. Turn off the dehumidifier and carefully remove the water bucket.
- 2. Locate the float inside the water bucket.
- 3. Gently shake the water bucket up and down to check if the float moves freely.
- 4. Once the float is unstuck, reinstall the water bucket into the dehumidifier.
- 5. Turn the power back on and check if the " Bucket Full " light has turned off.
Checking the Float Location by Model
The location and appearance of the float may vary depending on your specific LG dehumidifier model.
- Normal Position: The float should rest at the bottom when the bucket is empty.
- Stuck Position: The float is stuck at the top, causing the [Bucket Full] light to stay on.
Caution
Do not open the float cover. Doing so may interfere with the float that detects when the bucket is full.
