- Is the exterior surface of the outdoor unit severely contaminated by foreign materials or dusts?
Try this
Unplug the power cord before cleaning the outdoor unit.
(There may be live power remained when you cleaning the outdoor unit with the power not turned off.)
Identify the position of the outdoor unit, and clean the unit only at a safe place.
Care should be exercised to prevent flow of water into the motor when you clean the outdoor unit with
water.
(Cleaning with water is allowed; however, should be performed in such a way that water normally flows out of
the unit as rainwater does.)
If the outdoor unit is installed beyond the handrail, do not attempt cleaning, since there is risk of
fall.
(If safety equipment is required for cleaning, it needs to be handled by an LG Electronics service
technician.)
