Smell from the newly purchased product

■ Possible Cause

-&nbsp;

Just like new furniture and new cars have a particular new-product smell, the air conditioners can have the similar odor when it has been newly purchased.

&nbsp;

More than 90% of the components used in the air conditioner is made of plastic, and the appliance is wrapped in plastic cover for protection once its produced.

&nbsp; Therefore the smell of the product and component is trapped inside the product box, until its opened for use.

■ Solution or Settings

1)

Once the appliance is in constant use,&nbsp; the odor will disappear as the condensate water produced will wash off the odor particles&nbsp;

from the cooling unit and get

&nbsp;&nbsp; drained out of the appliance.

If wish to remove the odor faster,&nbsp;

open every window and run the appliance in air purification or fan mode with high wind speed for 20~30 minutes.

&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

Repeat the process for 2~3 times to remove the odor quickly.
