There is less odor when the cold wind comes out(outdoor unit operates).
When the indoor temperature is low, odor particles tend to move slowly, thus making odors spread slowly.

Causes and Symptoms
Different operational principle is applied when the cold wind comes out of the air conditioner(cooling operation) than when the general fan(fan mode) operates.
Therefore, there are less odors in fan mode than during cooling operation.
Why is the condensed water generated?
What about [Fan] mode if it only generates wind with no coldness?
Since it does not generate cold wind, there will be no water(condensed water) in the air conditioner and there is no way for water to exit to the outside.
So, instead of odor particles exiting through the drain hose together with water, it will be discharged together with wind to the outside.
In addition, as the temperature rises, odor particles tend to move faster, thus odors will be detected faster.
Try this
Set the cooling temperature as low as possible.
➔ Set the power cooling temperature to 18°c(64.4℉) and operate it for one hour.
When using the air conditioner, use the auto drying function.
Odors can be generated due to water(condensed water) in the part(heat exchanger) that generates cold wind.
After using the air conditioner, dry it by using the fan mode or auto drying mode for more than 10 minutes to create a more refreshing environment.
Clean the heat exchanger inside the air conditioner.
As odor particles and impurities exit along with water, it is possible to reduce bad odors.
