The sudden smell of gas is not because of the air conditioner's refrigerant.
Please check the ambient conditions that may be the source of the gas smell.
If the refrigerant (gas) leaks from the air conditioner due to the impact or damage, Ventilate the air by opening windows and wait for the service technician to come.
