What People Are Saying

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great! It cools very well and efficiently. The only problem is that the remote has to be very close to the unit to work. It almost makes the remote useless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything I wanted in a window A?C. Very happy with this product. After having had other brand, I knew which features I wanted by reading other consumers reviews and LG specs. Example, Quietness, cooling ability, condensation draining and air distribution direction. Great product

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful A/C Unit This is by-far the best window a/c unit we have purchased. It cools so well, we turn it up. Our last a/c unit was an LG, but this new one LG has manufactured is far superior. Quiet, Extreme Cooling, and light to tell you when to clean filter. I am truly impressed.

Does this a/c unit blow hot air Making it a heater?

Asked by: Loops

How do I turn on the heat? AC blows cold and great, except now the weather is cold outside and it's freezing in my apt!

How do you use the drain pipe? Do I need a hose? Also, where can I buy one of mine has been misplaced?

Asked by: Mini10
We appreciate your interest in this air conditioner and its accessories. The use of the drain pipe or hose is not a necessity with this machine. Whether the water drains from the drain hole, a hose, a tube, or over the back of the pan, a sufficient amount will drain and leave some to allow use in the cooling process for added efficiency.

How do we drain the a/c unit? My air conditioner has a misty smell

Asked by: Monique 10
We regret the trouble you have experienced with this air conditioner. Be certain that the air filter screen is clear and clean. If water is collecting in the air conditioner, then it may be recommended to remove the drain plug from the back of the cabinet. Once this is done, if the device is installed properly, much of the water will drain from the back of the cabinet.

How wide does this unit extend. I have a 44" wide window.

Asked by: Nicolina

What do you do if it rains? I'm worried about water getting on the unit-seems to hang pretty far out the window. We had to hang it a littler further out to get the back to slant because water was dripping from the front onto our floor.

Asked by: Hallie
We appreciate your interest in the proper setup of this air conditioner. According to the notes on page 12 of the owner’s manual, the air conditioner should be positioned under an awning. This will prevent direct sunlight hindering efficient operations, and it will also keep rain water out of the upper vents.

I need help on setting my phone up for quick remote to my LG air conditioner.

Asked by: Mike596
We appreciate your interest in this air conditioner. According to the owner’s manual, the only remote control operations are available through the Infrared (IR) receiver. Such a signal is not available through a phone.
