What People Are Saying

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 42 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love all the features I bought this LG air conditioner after reviewing it in consumer reports. It cool quickly and efficiently, it has a dry mode a a drain to de-humidify your room. The fan is powerful and has the ability to cool a large area. I would definitely recommend this to others and purchase it again. I noticed it sold out early in the season from the location I purchased it from. July 24, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by HIGH QUALITY AIR CONDITIONER This is by far the best air conditioner I've ever bought. The overall appearance is modern looking and adds some style to your room. The touch pads are nice because all you have to do is lightly push on them. You don't have to push down hard or repeatedly touch it for it to work the way you want it to. I always use the "energy saver." In addition to it saving energy, it really does make a difference on my electric bill. A lower bill works out fine for me. The remote control makes things a lot easier for us couch potatoes. It amazes me how quiet this air conditioner is. We don't have to turn up the TV to hear it when the air conditioner is on. As far as cooling, this baby really pulls it's weight. I have it in my living room. Not only does it cool that room, it cools my dining room, kitchen, entrance way and hallway! I would recommend this to anyone and everyone. Finally, something that isn't too good to be true! August 19, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by LG 12,000 BTU Air Conditioner I really like this unit alot because it's very easy to put it together right out of the box... Starts up nicely and it's very quiet when it's on... The only thing I didn't like about this unit is that the front grill panel it's very hard to snap the right bottom conner on where the wire sticks out from it always comes undone when putting it back on which LG Products could of made the better and easier to put it back on folks...other then that it keeps my second floor loft area nice and cool when it's really hot and humid outside... I also like the remote control very small and easy to use.. Will buy another LG Product again in my books July 13, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Installation could have been better designed. I am happy with the functioning of this unit. I was disappointed with the instructions and the actual process of the installation. The screws provided were for the most part hard to fit. Seems to me more care could have been used in designing the installation process. Like self tapping sheet metal screws. The video makes it look easy, but it took me almost three hours to install. (I am a building contractor.) The printed directions were too small to read easily and were not easy to comprehend. June 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent product I purchased two of these window units in April of 2012. I live in the heat and humidity of Florida, so they have gotten a good workout over the past two summers. I need to replace my central system, but because these work so well, I haven't been in any rush. My home is 1,388 SF and the two units cool it easily to 75 degrees. Once I turn them on in the spring, they are never turned off until fall arrives. They are running now at the end of the second summer. Not only do they do a great job, but my utility bill is about $50 less each month than it was with the central unit. The only negative I can think of is that some would consider them a little on the noisy side. I sleep with one right near my head. At first it bothered me, but soon became "white noise" and I don't even notice it anymore! I highly recommend! October 5, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Product! I was very surprised at how powerful this system is. It cools off my living room, kitchen and hallway with no problem. This was a very hot summer and we did not feel it inside our home thanks to the LG air conditioner. The remote is an added bonus! I will be buying a second one for our home. September 4, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Overall This air conditioner works fine, but we needed to have it fixed as it arrived broken. September 2, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by excellent features good value unit cools very quickly, very usable features, quiet. July 19, 2013

No heat at all.

Trying to use heat mode for first time. It seems that fan blows unheated ( not cold) air. Left on for six hours in a 14X14 room with air blowing . . . no even slightly warm. Am I missing a switch or something that I need to flip? How can I tell if the heating elements are on (working)? Thanks,

I set it to 70 and the a/c runs even after the room temp reaches and exceeds the desired temp. Is that right? I have to turn it off as it gets too cold... Down to 65 at times.
