What People Are Saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from awesome features with heating and cooling Bought this for my 1200 sq Ft house in Texas and the unit cools the house nicely. With auto shut off and on (energy savor) I don't have to worry about changing the temp control (set it and forget it). The back bedroom gets cold enough at night that I need an extra blanket. I can't wait to try the heat settings in the winter and this will help from using my gas fireplace to heat the living era.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Air Conditioner; issues w/ QC and hardware I just finished installing my AC unit and it is working great. I have a 25 x 40 ft shop and the temps in OK in July have reached 100F but the space is staying nice & cool. My issues (only minor) were with the quality control of assembly (foam strips inside the cabinet along where the unit frame slides into its cabinet was bunched up and torn. Even worse, many of the delicate cooling fins were crushed together where the unit was originally assembled into the cabinet. Assemblers need to slow down and do it right. My other issue is with the super cheezy lock washers that are provided for the mounting bracket. The lock washers are thin and hollow and easily stripped by over-tightening. They are to lock the brace/bracket which supports the 140lb unit hanging out the window; BAD place to provide low quality hardware. Because the AC unit itself is so excellent, these problems are only minor (and completely un-necessary) detractions.

The fan on this unit broke. And a second unit has a dry noisy bearing in the fan motor. Are these parts replaceable?

Is this unit considered a "Sole Source" for heat as required by the code?

Asked by: peewee
It is uncertain to which “code” you are referring. According to our product specifications, this air conditioner provides 23,500 Cooling BTUs, and about 9,400 Heating BTUs. As such, this device will most likely be considered supplemental heating.

Does this AC have the option to recirculate air or is the air from inside the room exchanged to the outside of the room. I'm concerned about smells being transferred from inside building to the outside....
