What People Are Saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Durible as all get out I have had my phone for at least 4 years and this is the style that works best for this old guy. Buttons are better than swipe phones. My phone has survived a trip thru the washing machine and a battery that failed and overheated. The Cosmos needs to return because of the 4 row keypad and ease of use by people that do not want an internet phone or a flop phone that you have to hit a key 3 times to get the correct letter

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cosmos phone I guess its obsolete now. It was great while it was supported. I no longer receive updates and it does not support all the new stuff. All I can do is talk & text. I got this phone in 2013. It has lasted a long time. I also have an LG Vista vs880 and it is also obsolete and doesn't get updates. Its also in a bootloop that i cant get out of because of lack of support. I am not connected to a phone service on that one. But it also receives no updates or support. I love the product it last forever but the support & updates suck. I would still be using if there was some support. I am not one to change my phone whenever a new product comes out especially if I like what I have.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from So Ready to Get a New Phone! I am not the type of person that has to have a smart phone. I actually like basic phones, but this one is the worst out of all of the basic phones I've had! There is a delay when going through the icons on the menu. The darn thing cannot hold many text messages AT ALL!! It seems like I'm having to erase old texts to get new ones every other week. The keys on the front of my phone wore out very quickly to the point where I had to just about break my finger to get the button to work. The graphics are not good quality. So what is good about this phone? My phone take pretty good motion pictures, meaning it is okay if the subject is not standing still. Also the fact that you can go to tools and info search and search for deleted messages, etc. Lastly, what is good are the voice commands. But there are many other phones with these features.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worse phone I've ever owned I've had this phone for less than six months and already it has problems texting. Buttons are too small for my fingers and I'm constantly hitting two keys at once. I know options for the handful of us out there that do not want a smart phone, but I highly recommend you do NOT purchase this model.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Slow I've had this phone for a couple months now. I have had a lot of LG slide or flip phones (never a smart phone) but this is the one I like the least. The slide out keyboard is the reason I picked it, but the buttons are very small and hard to get used to. The real problem is how slow it is! I do quite a lot of texting and the delay when you are typing is ridiculous. I will be through the sentence typing and the phone is still thinking about the first word. It is also very slow to scroll through the texts and the memory capacity for storing them it tiny!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Phone.... Grade A It is a good phone. It lacks space to do group messaging. It is good for calls. It does not connect to LG Suite. LG does not have the USB modem driver to use the data features of a phone plan.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Good Retro Phone I had this phone before in the 2004-2005 with same carrier. I was not expecting to go back to it, but I am happy did get it. It was functional and worked as expected. It gets low on memory when too many text messages. I am disappointed the LG software or phone carrier software does not allow to connect to data network via USB or bluetooth tethering.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good long as you don't use group texts If you want a basic phone, this little guy will get the job done most of the time. It's compact, it has good battery life, clear audio, and easy texting with the slide-out keyboard. However, after having it for just a few days, I will return it. Why? There are two major problems that make this phone just about useless to me. 1) This phone can't properly handle incoming group texts. Although you can send texts to multiple people, when a group text is sent to you there is no indication that it is a group text, you can't see who else the message was sent to, and all of your replies go only to the sender instead of the group. If you're somebody who fields texts from multiple people often as I do, this phone will not work for you. 2) The internet browser on this phone cannot access any google pages because it doesn't have the proper security certificates. So you cannot access Gmail, Google calendar, you can't even access the Google home page! If you don't plan to use the browser this won't be a problem at all, but for me this is incredibly frustrating. I was hoping to have this phone for the next few years, since other review say that it's pretty indestructible. But unfortunately need to exchange it. It's really too bad.
