What People Are Saying

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Totally in love with our oven that sings! A singing oven. Who would've thought. The double oven is perfect for not only holiday time when you have to juggle a few casseroles, but during the year as well. Very convenient and fun!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Black Stainless Steel Stove I've had this stove for a few weeks now and it does everything I was needing it to do. I love the extra warming burner on the surface, and I like the way that the heating elements on the surface function.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Oven I like the timer that lets me know when it is preheated. I like it that it says HS to reminded me that the stovetop is still hot to keep me and others from getting burned accidently. Really nice it cleans it self and the little spray bottle. No other harsh cleaners needed:)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I wanted to love this oven, but all I can do is cr I bought this oven almost two years ago and now after yet another ruined dessert, I have to finally be frank with myself and admit how much I hate this oven. Before moving in our house two years ago, we lived in a rental with a cheap and older stove and despite being cheap and old, that stove yielded consistent desserts that turned out almost perfectly each time. You'd think, a newer, much more expensive range would do even better, but that turned out to far from the truth. Every dessert I've cooked in the bottom oven has been a disaster, whether I choose regular heating or convection. I have two independent oven thermometers I started using after desserts started over cooking in the oven and both registered the oven initially as being 50 to 75 degrees too hot (regardless of whether I checked after 30 minutes or an hour). So, I used the temperature adjustment feature to adjust the temperature. Then desserts started being underdone and the thermometers would show the oven as being 50 to 75 degrees too cold. So I turned the temperature to the original setting and still everything would either be under- or over-done (nothing like having to choose between melted or burnt pie crust). There seemed to be no rhyme or reason to it, so simply adjusting the temperature would not work. Apparently some internal temperature gauge must be off. Now, to the top oven. The top oven has yielded more tolerable results, as long as I don't cook anything fancy, so it is pretty much the only oven I ever use (which is sad, because I paid for a double oven, but am reduced to using an oven even smaller than a regular one). However, it also has fluctuations in temperature as well, though to a smaller degree (15 to 25 degrees). This results also results in either underdone or burnt pie crust, and other pastry desserts, but the most devastating result is for my cheesecakes. The trick to cheesecake is to cook at a low temperature (200 degrees) for several hours. The oven usually runs hot, but when I cook my cheesecakes, it all of a sudden decides to run cold and my cheesecakes are more like pudding. I cannot understand the reasoning, other than that the oven is not able to run at a consistent temperature throughout baking, so constantly runs hot then cold. Even after heating up either oven, if I turn them off and immediately turn them back on, they'll show up as preheating at 75 degrees lower than the temperature I had them at. I'm not impressed with this range at all and feel like I've wasted my money on an oven I'm afraid to use. The stove top is a little better, but I've discovered that according to it, 5 is high heat and and 3, medium. Anything above 6 yields burnt food and scorched pans, but at least cooking temperatures are more easily adjusted and forgiving than baking. Still, this oven sucks.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Impressive Beautiful Range I have had this range for a couple of months now. It takes awhile to get use to not having knobs. After using ...I prefer the knobs. I don't like reaching over the pots to move the heat up or down. The digital heat buttons are confusing. I love the black stainless color. The double oven is great. .I got rid of my toaster oven as I now use the small upper oven instead. The interior blue color is unique. This range has style and performs great!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great features I love the black stainless line. I baffled between single and double oven. I like the convenience of the double oven but the lower over is quite low to the floor. Easy of cleaning is a real plus with LG. The digital burner takes some getting used to as well as how often the burners turn off and on during heating. All in all a great appliance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent double oven range I've had the range for a few months. The features are great, the cook top heats very quickly, and the double oven is extremely useful and easy to use.

I just purchased this oven but it hasn't been delivered yet. I need to install a 220 socket before they deliver it. Just want to know for sure if this oven comes with a four prong plug or the three prong plug?

Asked by: Big Hoss

I can not get the lower oven to heat above 350degrees  is this normal

Asked by: pammy76
I apologize, but no; the oven should be able to increase temperature as much as is necessary for normal baking and broiling. The 350 degree setting should simply be the standard default, after which it is normal to change the temperature as needed. Please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000 for additional information in this matter.

I need a new scrubby pad to use to clean my cook top (the oven came with a red pad but it recently got lost :( ). I don't want to buy something at the store that would scratch the cooktop. What do you recommend?

Why does my electric glass top range burner click, while using it? (Loud click)

Asked by: Doc_may
We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this electric range. This range is designed to maintain a tighter control over the heating temperature. You may hear your oven’s heating elements “click” on and off more frequently on this range. This is normal operation.

Broiler shuts off when door is open (WHY?) is so hot and strong that it burns the food in 5 minutes.I told my sister and she told me that I need to hav the door a little open (never knew that, never heard of it and I would of never thought.)HELP

Asked by: Peter121
We regret your displeasure at the operations of this range. LG Ranges have been designed in such a manner as to require the door to remain shut, during the BROIL process, in order to cook properly. Please note the BROILING GUIDE posted on page 25 of the Owner’s Manual. This chart is only for reference. Adjust the cooking time according to your preference. Some additional Broiling Tips are also available on page 26.
