Rated 1 out of 5 by from Well what can I say. You get what you pay for. DVD player works fine. But we have a 32" flat panel tv and I want to see all 32 inches. Instead this dvd player only displays a picture about half that size. I have this big black border with a little picture in the center. Whats up with that? And yes I went thru the display settings and tried them all. Zip.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LG makes GREAT Blu-ray & DVD players!!! Not sure how long we've had our LG's players but they both work great so far. We have not setup the internet yet but we have used both players everyday since buying them. Hopefully these will last longer than the other brands we have owned!

Can I plug a hard drive into this DVD player to watch films?

Asked by: Roxy1102
It is possible that an external hard drive could be connected to the USB port on this player. According to page 7 of the owner’s manual, the drive and files must be formatted as either FAT16 or FAT32. It must run on a USB1.1 or USB2.0 version. A USB device which requires additional program installation when connected to a computer will not be compatible. If you use a USB extension cable, USB HUB, USB Multi-Reader, or External HDD, the USB device may not be recognized.

Is this an all-region DVD player?

Asked by: elamkin28
The LG DVD Player with USB Direct Recording, Model # DP132 does come as an all-region DVD player, however, the American DVD Copy Control Association also requires that DVD player manufacturers incorporate the regional-playback control (RPC) system for unit sold in the US. On the back of the DVD Player , superimposed on the world map is a regional code that will indicate whether or not the unit you have is an "All Region" unit or if it is region-locked. "Free" or a "0" symbol means that the player either doesn't have a flag set or has regions 1–6 flags set. Region 0 is commonly referred to as "Region Free". region "1" means it is restricted to the US, Canada and U.S. territories...^IFV
