What People Are Saying

Rated 4 out of 5 by 31 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Lg adapter When I Got it home and out it into my tv, it Was easy to install and I have not had any problem with it June 14, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Works as expected Simple device to use. Just plug it in and it finds your network. Assume price is average for device. March 14, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Works OK on WEP or open system; WPA2 whammies it Wasted 90 minutes today at a customer site attempting to figure out why his LG smart TV kept claiming it couldn't connect through our network because the "DNS wasn't working properly," or when it did, why it would stall attempting to load services such as Netflix or Hulu. Finally determined that the adapter was fine handling unencrypted or WEP signals from the customer's router, but when presented with a WPA2-PSK/AES connection it apparently didn't have the computational chops to keep up, and instead flung blame all over everything else. Unit documentation claims it will handle "64/128 bit WEP, WPA, WPA2, TKIP, AES, WPS (PIN, PBC)," but this one sure didn't. October 10, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent product - Very easy to install Item was so easy. I never had an install go as easy as this. Started with an upgrade 1st to TV and went right to application after that. Netflix was like any other app. on internet. So easy monkey can install with 1 touch button!!!! Sorry for guys who had sooo much trouble with their set-up :{( November 26, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by $ Big Bucks to be able to spend more bucks. I know. It's silly for me to think that I should be entitled to use these services at no cost. Seems to me that NetFlix and Hulu and Sony should pay for the device to access their For Sale merchandise. November 12, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by For whatever reason The wireless finally connected from the main menu when I selected connect. After countless failures during the test menu. October 21, 2011
Rated 3 out of 5 by Too expensive at $78 when others are around $20 easy installation but dislike the proprietary LG. Very little bang for the buck. August 10, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by ok i ended up returning this because i found out it was a waste b/c i use the ps3 more often than the tv to connect to web August 10, 2011

Don't know....cat 5 cable was used....However ,today I tried installing LG wireless adapter and it worked like a charm......I don't know why the tech installer had a problem.....he gave up on trying to get it to work on the set and installed a cat five cable on LG Blu Ray theatre system....Knowledge? I will recommend the lg adapter to work on LG LE5400 tv sets.....Next time I will check things out myself before someone tells me something won't work nogo246.

Answer:
Yes, I use this this adapter to connect my LG HDTV to my wireless router that is located on the other side of the house. It should work for you also as long as the signal is strong enough. If your signal isn't that strong, do an internet search for "EZ-12 Template." It's a neat little antenna modification made from construction paper and aluminum foil that can seriously increase the signal strength of your wireless network.
