Rated 3 out of 5 by from product does allow you to access smart screen apps We had a router/modem hooked up to TV by ethernet, worked great. We had to bring the router up to the office. The LG WiFi USB adapter brings a wireless internet signal to the TV and it works pretty good for Netflix but MLB Baseball freezes alot and switching to the visitor's broadcast rarely works, it usually kicks you off. We have COX High Speed internet so can't blame it on the internet speed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Works OK on WEP or open system; WPA2 whammies it Wasted 90 minutes today at a customer site attempting to figure out why his LG smart TV kept claiming it couldn't connect through our network because the "DNS wasn't working properly," or when it did, why it would stall attempting to load services such as Netflix or Hulu. Finally determined that the adapter was fine handling unencrypted or WEP signals from the customer's router, but when presented with a WPA2-PSK/AES connection it apparently didn't have the computational chops to keep up, and instead flung blame all over everything else. Unit documentation claims it will handle "64/128 bit WEP, WPA, WPA2, TKIP, AES, WPS (PIN, PBC)," but this one sure didn't.

Wrong dongle for device :(

I bought the LG PB63U and it came with the LG AN-WF100 dongle, yet according to your website it doesn't even work with this projector. (which true because the projector doesn't even recognize the dongle). So I'm asking is there an update for this dongle because I am wondering why is this dongle paired with this projector when it doesn't even work with it?
Asked by: Kondo
I'm having the same problem. The AN-WF100 is not recognized by the PB63u, and produces various error codes on the WiDi option on the input list after the device is initialized. LG technicians seem to be completely unaware of this projector and its specs. I had to tell their technicians that WiDi functionality came from a dongle - they thought it was internal. On to my third "repair" attempt for this projector.

Hi, I have the AN-WF100 Dongle and it worked well until recently, my TV is a LM62 47 inch and I've noticed that the indicator lamp on the dongle isn't illuminating anymore does that mean that the dongle broken. I've only had it about 6 months. Thanks.

Hi , I've got a CE0560 dongle, I've had it a couple of years now but was wondering if I could download an update latest software if I plugged it into my computer ? Many thanks Craig

Asked by: craig1122
CE0560 is not a model number, that is the alert marking for radio products that comply with the R&TTE Directive (1995/5/EC) issued by the Commission of the European Community. The LG Wi-Fi & reg; USB Adapter for Select 2011-2010 TVs, Model # AN-WF100 that bears this marking does not have any available software updates as it cannot be updated. It was succeeded by the AN-WF500 which is the current WiFi/Bluetooth dongle for select 2014-2015 TVs...^IFV

What is life expectancy on wifi adapters for 55LW6500 TV?

Recently Netflix streaming will no longer load movies - has worked fine since Dec. 2011. YouTube and other internet apps still work fine. I have checked many possible solutions to the problem (SW update, USB extender, moving router, etc.) and it seems to be the TV. Can I somehow test my wifi adapter? I don't want to waste money buying a new one, if my old one is still good.
Asked by: CKinABQ
We regret the inconvenience you have experienced with this WiFi adapter. If YouTube and other apps are still operating properly, then there is no problem with the WiFi adapter. If Netflix is the only app having a problem, then the problem will generally lie with with the Netflix app version, or not enough network bandwidth available for this particular feature. Test this by deactivating the network connections on other WiFi devices to open the bandwidth, to see if this resolves the matter. Netflix is known to require more bandwidth than other applications. If there is additional trouble, please contact our Customer Interactive Center at 800-243-0000.
